Good tumbler - with some issues
Received free product
This tumbler has some strong points - it is a good size that holds a lot, it comes with a straw that I like for drinking cold beverages, and its tapered base allows it to easily fit in car cup holders, and the price is reasonable compared to some competitors. The negatives? For cold drinks the opening for the straw means you are of course not getting a full seal, so it will not keep cold drinks cold as long as tumblers that fully seal. And it does not work so well for hot drinks. It does have a swiveling piece on the top that allows you to "seal" the opening for drinking when you are not using the straw, but it really does not tightly seal - tip the tumbler over and the liquid pretty much pours out. And I found that the high rim on the lid makes drinking hot liquid difficult. [Note: I received free product in return for an honest review.]

OK, but over-hyped
I like the cup well enough. It holds water, fits in a cupholder, and I can drink through a straw so I'm not accidentally sharing water with my cat. Thing is, it's huge. As in, super tall and probably very easy to knock over. But maybe that isn't a fair assumption since I've only had it a couple of days and haven't given it a proper chance at being tipped. Yet. I have respectably large-ish hands for a woman my size, and it's still too heavy when full to comfortably use single-handed so I end up two-handing it like a toddler with a giant sippy-cup. Not a big deal, just unusual for a water bottle (and for a 31 year old lady). Also not thrilled with the plastic straw, but hopefully a super long metal straw isn't difficult to find as a replacement. This ridiculous cup has been hyped up on the internet and social media-- and I should have known better, but I'm only so strong against a sold-out everywhere item that comes back in stock. Anyway. It's a cup, though I'll admit the dishwasher-safe feature has one over on all of my Hydroflasks and S'wells, and some of my Klean Kanteens. It also arrived dented on the bottom, which is surprising given that they claim it can survivie a 4000 ft drop (although what exactly does 'survive' mean?). So if your water receptacle shelf is looking a little sparse and like it could use a giant dishwasher-safe cup in a pretty color that's all-around average, I would say go for it. I do however wish there was an "eh" option for whether or not I would recommend this product to a friend.

Keeps water cold in 100 degree weather

Received free product

I absolutely love my Stanley Tumbler. The 30 oz tumbler fits nicely into the cars cup holder. When I take a turn, the tumbler doesn’t fall out. I took my Stanley on my flight across the country, used it in my classroom, and I take it out on the soccer field while coaching. I absolutely love my Stanley! The straw feature is amazing, when I traveled on the plane I didn’t use my straw and just drank from the lid which has a closing tab to cover the hole. This tumbler is all around perfect. I had ice and water in my Stanley tumbler and was coaching outside in 104 degree temperatures. The water stayed cold the whole time.

Cool cup, weird spot?

I bought this cup in the color Lilac and was so obsessed with it. Having a cute cup like this really encourages me to drink more water, which is the only thing I was using it for. So my only problem is that it developed this weird spot at the bottom of it seemingly out of nowhere. I was only putting water in it, and washing it out religiously as well as thoroughly cleaning the straw with every use! I have no idea where this spot came from but now I’m discouraged from using that cup and just using my Owala.

Great at keeping cold but easy to spill

Received free product

First the positives, of which there are many! Keeps things cold for a very long time!! Put water and ice in at about 6 pm and next morning water was still cold. Love that it can fit into the cup holder of a car, which none of our other large bottles can do. Enjoy that the top has multiple options and the included straw is great. Negatives - while adventure is in the name, it’s not spill proof at all. A simple tilt, even when “closed” has liquid coming out. I also have small hands and it’s quite heavy when full and a bit awkward to carry without a handle. But even with that we still love it. It’s perfect for around the house, road trips, and more stationary adventures such as hanging at the beach or campsite.

Order Fulfillment Needs Training

I bought 2 of the 30 ounce in the limited edition Tigerlilly color. 1 for me and 1 for my sister. They wrapped the cups in 2sheets of tissue paper and put them in a box with no bubble or foam to protect them in transit. They put a brown kraft paper filler on top but there wasn’t anything to hold them down. Both cups arrived and have dent on the bottom of each cup. I’m annoyed because the tumblers aren’t cheap and I haven’t seen the color restocked. I’m super bummed! $70 and I would at least like a mint condition tumbler. The order fulfillment people need training on how to properly pack items that may damage easily. Im gonna return my items.

It is a fine tumbler, but not great

Received free product

This tumbler is fine, but not great. It keeps things cold long enough- I use it at my desk while working and it stays cold for most of the day. It fits in the cup holder in my car as well which is nice. The main issue I have is with the top- it is plastic and the it usually takes a couple of tries to thread it properly, which is annoying. The straw is also white plastic and my iced tea started to stain it. If REI hadn't sent me the tumbler for an honest review, I probably wouldn't have chosen to buy this because there are better versions out there. I have medium-sized hands for a woman and I don't have a very secure grip when I hold it around the top third of the tumbler, which isn't ideal. Overall it will get the job done, but I had higher expectations.

Keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot!!!

Received free product

I received the 30 oz Stanley Tumbler for review about a week ago and it had been mostly a great experience. While I don’t have photos my wife daughter and myself used this tumbler constantly this past weekend while camping in Rocky Mountain National Park. Ice cold water and ice for hours In the sun and hot coffee as long as it lasted. Live the finish on the cup but my only complaint is that it does not seal from spills when closed. You also have a straw to contend with but I personally just removed it. Great cup and glad to add it to our options as it will remain in rotation.

Good upright, leaks badly if tipped

We purchased the Stanley Adventure Vacuum primarily to use in our RV's (undersized) cup holders to keep drinks cold. For that, it does just fine. What's disappointing is that in the closed position the lid leaks like a sieve if the cup is tipped enough for the liquid inside to get to the top rim. So not a problem if your idea of "Adventure" doesn't go beyond flat surfaces and cup holders. If you're looking for a multi-purpose water carrier that could go in your backpack for a day hike, this is not a good choice.

Super cold drinks!

I bought this as a travel mug as opening and closing water and juice bottles while driving is just too difficult. Ease of use and fitting in the cup holder with a handle was the selling point. I was skeptical of how long things might stay cold as I have lots of other containers that just don't last very long. This Stanley is the best ever! I took juice and ice in the car while I went to an appointment and had to leave it in the car. 6 hours later and in a VERY hot car I came out to an ice cold drink that still had ice! I now take it everywhere and it is just the best!
