Love the everyday weight and comfort of this sock. Looser and more comfortable around lower calf than most Smartwool socks. But who really makes these? Worn out in 6 weeks of regular wear. And the Smartwool logo is stamped on in a plastic material lost to the wash and the oceans.
No cushioning
These are ok thin socks. Very thin on top and bottom. Even though the description says “full cushion” there’s no real cushioning on the bottom. They feel like walking around in bare feet.
I will buy these again
These are cozy socks, but be advised unkempt toe nails may catch as you don them. I turn socks inside out to wash (after all that's where the dirty begins) and due to the ""loose""-ish threads of the upper sock I put them in a laundry bag to protect as they wash. They're comfy and do not cutoff circulation as my Smartwool ankle socks began to do on my feet. I've had to donate the ankle socks as circulation seems kind of important. LOL! No fault of Smartwool; those ankle socks lasted me close to a decade and I'd still be wearing them if not for blood flow. The new popcorn crews are now a favorite go to sock!
Warm and cozy but thread is weak
Bought it and worn once. After a wash, thread was loosened.
Don't discontinue these Popcorn Cable Crew socks
These are great socks with a high wool content. They're very comfortable and breathe well. Apparently they're discontinued and I really hope someone can convince Smartwool to reconsider.
Sent me used washed shrunken socks
Ordered three Smartwool socks. Arrived today. Looks like they ran over the package. And one pair looks washed, shrunken, with pilling on it. Packaged and sold as new. Seriously REI? 🫤
Love Smartwool
Smartwool socks are my favorites! I do not own another style!
Not a good purchase
I really liked these socks. I found then attractive and a good weight for everyday use. However, as a new sock, the first time I put them on my figure when right through the upper knitting. The quality of these socks is very bad. Upon closer examination, I found another hole in the knitting and the overall knitting of these socks is loose and inconsistent. I would like to send them back with the ""sock bag"" but I never received that in my order either. Hopefully, you guys can get it together again. I really have liked Smartwool but now I'm not so sure.
I would not buy this sock again.
The fabric and ""color"" is great. But the ribbing at the top is way too tight. It leaves indents in my leg and just feels like it's cutting off some circulation and I have small legs. . I weigh 101 lbs at 5'4"" so it's not because my legs are fat and they are not holding excess fluid either. They dont need to be this tight. I dont like returns and I like the rest of the sock so I cringed while I cut off the top of the socks. I could not actually wear them unless I did this. ugh. And months ago I bought another pair in a different style and it was the same thing. Now I've had to cut off 2 pairs of new expensive socks from this brand. It's a shame because I like their other products and I love the fabric but no I wont buy the socks again.
Cute but didn't last a year
These socks are beautiful! They are thinner, which I liked for wearing with tall boots - they didn't add too much bulk. They are soft and stayed up when I pulled them up. BUT, I received four pairs for Christmas and ten months later, one has a hole in the heel and another pair is getting holes at the toe. All of them are becoming threadbare at the heel. Why, Smartwool? They are too expensive to replace every single year . . . My husband's Smartwool hiking socks have lasted years and years and years. So, these are very pretty but not durable.
