Very Poor Durability.
For the price you pay, you would expect them to last a long time but they don’t and are covered by only a 2-year warranty. Mine developed a hole after a little more than 2 years of typical use. Other brands have lifetime warranties and are better choices. I would not buy this item again.
Very disappointed
Very disappointed in Smartwool and REI for offering this product. Thin, not woolly, not cozy. Not soft, almost scratchy. I was truly shocked to get such an uncomfortable pair of socks! $18.93 is way out of line for such inferior quality.
Not the real thing
I have a drawer full of Smart Wool socks and I must say these are either a very poor quality sock or a foreign knock-off. The material was like rag wool and the fit similar to something from a big box store, (loose and saggy). Definitely disappointed. They went straight to the donation bin. (I will say that I purchased several other Smart Wools for gifts and they were the typical high quality I'd expect.)
Socks/footwear
It is more difficult than seems to acquire quality, comfortable, well fitting socks. These are perfect length, appropriate weight (for hiking and casual wear), neutral but yet “statement” tones. Both styles are a home run. Should have bought more.

These are my most comfortable socks. Not too tight, not too hot, super cozy. SmartWool socks are fantastic.
A smartwool gem
These are the perfect socks for lounging and casual activities on cold days. I love the colors and the ragg wool style, and they fit perfectly. A lot of the bad reviews are from people expecting these to perform like hiking socks when that's not what they are meant to be. If you're looking for a hiking/performance sock then get something else, but if you're looking for something comfortable I highly recommend these.
