Smartwool  Nordic Targeted Cushion Crew Socks - Men's

Bought for inline freestyle and slalom skating to replace some worn-out hockey socks, and also use low-cut Smartwool merino socks during summer months, and PHD ski socks, all of which I really like. Merino is the best for skating as it is less prone to odor and breathes well. Sock thickness and reinforcement areas are just right for my skating where I have performance-fit slalom skates and custom footbeds and don't need a lot of sock thickness. My other socks tend to wear out in the heels (I skate 10-15hrs/week) after a while, even using a shoe horn, so giving these a 4-star rating for now until I get more days on them.

Really hard to feel the difference between this and Women's Run Cold Weather Targeted Cushion Crew Socks. Both great good cushion and fit in foot. both a bit too tight in the upper sock area, more like a compression sock feel, but Nordic version may be a teeny bit less tight than Women's Run Cold Weather Targeted Cushion Crew Socks. Even my skinny legs don't like the squeeze, all day long, which is how I intended to wear them. Looking for a good foot, and more relaxed upper sock for all day wear.

My go to cold weather cycling socks, thin but warm, amazing sock

I've bought many pairs of the Smartwool PhD Nordic Light Elite socks in the past and recently bought these Nordic Targeted Cushion Crew Socks thinking they would be the same. However, I'm rather disappointed in the quality of the Nordic Targeted Cushion Crew socks. The elastic feels very weak, which overall makes the qualify of the sock feel lower. Even as new socks they feel like worn out socks because of the bad elastic.

These socks are great. Loved that they had easy to understand sizing description when ordering, and they fit perfectly. They are soft and truly warm! I use them for air sport (hang gliding) and my feet were warm on my 3 hour flight when I usually get really cold! I will order a few more pairs.

I purchased both the lightweight nordic crew and the targeted cushion nordic crew (for when it's colder). Very much appreciate having a thinner and a higher height sock than what I use for hiking. My toes tend to get cold and I haven't experienced that with these yet!

Love this product for nordic skiing. I'm a US Men's 9 (Euro 42-43) and find the large fits great. I use these socks in -10F to 40F weather regularly, but find additional booties/toe warmers are needed below 10F usually. I also use for winter running and fat biking.

Needed a comfortable, warm sock to wear under my running shoes for a recent trip to the mountains of North Carolina, and boy did these socks do the trick! My toes were toasty during several long runs, without slipping down or bunching. Thanks Smart Wool!

These socks fit and feel great on. I stepped in water as I was heading out the door with my bibs and ski socks on and was happy I got to use these instead of my over the knee full cushioned Smart Wool socks. They did just fine with my ski boots.
