Horrible durability
I have 15 pairs of these socks. Over the span of 3 months at 25-50 miles a week, 3 pairs have holes on the heels and 3 pairs are just torn at the top from putting them on. The wife has barred me from buying these socks ever again, which sucks because I love them. But we are not going to be paying 30 bucks a month to replace socks.
Poor quality
These are comfy socks, but the durability is terrible. I had holes in both socks after just a few weeks of usage. Now the bottoms are wearing out. They have become a big waste of money when it comes to any type of long term investment.
Better than the "regular" (non-merino wool) versio
The wool version of these socks have two BIG advantages over the "regular" (synthetic, non-wool) versions: * More durable - typically the "regular" versions of the runner sock last me 5 days on-trail, then I have to throw them away because they have too many holes. But these lasted at least two weeks .. 2x as long! * Easier to put on - They seem to retain their shape and are more "slippery" (i.e., "less sticky") than the regular versions, The regular versions can be a major pain to put on in the morning. But these are easy! So, all in all .. even though the wool versions are a bit more expensive, they end up being both more cost effective, and better overall.
Not Durable
I owned six pair of Injinji toe socks, including both lightweight and middleweight ones, which I’ve worn many times. I recently bought this lightweight ultra-thin cushioning pair. After wearing them 3 times, the right sock developed a small hole in the big toe. Thus, I cannot recommend this particular sock.
I loved these for all of of 3 months
I absolutely loved everything about these socks; I love wool socks and I love toe socks. Naturally, these were made for me. I loved everything about it and got myself and handful of pairs. Unfortunately, holes were quick to develop and at this price point they should really last more than a couple of months. It's really a shame. I don't even do anything strenuous in them.
Holes after wearing 2x
Bought 2 pairs of these and there is holes in both sets on both feet. I NEVER get holes in my socks so I’m shocked this happened. I’ve bought this brand of socks for years and never had this problem. Buy the thicker pair. I’ve had them for over 5 years and no holes or degradation.
Great sock not long lasting...
I do love these socks but after only a couple of months I started to wear holes in the bottom. I only walk in these so no major abuse going on. Maybe that is the nature of the material? Seems like a running sock would be a little more durable. They do fit great and are sized perfectly.
Didn’t last…
It’s 13 months since I purchased these and they are already threaded bare and have holes. I don’t wear them all that often and would’ve expected them to last a lot longer.
Don't Waste Your Money
The fit and feel is great. The only problem is that both pairs I bought lasted less than 10 miles of running before big holes appeared at the ball of the foot.
Don't Expect 'Em to Last
I got two pair of these and within 100 miles, both had developed holes. They're very comfortable, but with how thin they are and how fragile the fabric is, the durability is awful. They are essentially a disposable sock.
