Poor Craftsmanship

Second run and they’re already falling apart. They felt great but I can’t believe the horrendous craftsmanship for such an expensive shoe. I expect better from your company.

900 Kilometres!

I bought these about a year ago and have showed them no mercy. They were my marathon training companion; I ran on roads and on gravel trails in all conditions. Although I experienced some premature wear on the heels like a few reviewers have mentioned, it is only the paint coming off exposing the foam. While this could be improved, the performance of the shoe is a worthy trade off. I ran 900 kilometres in my Speed 3s and just bought my second pair today! The photos below are after 900 kilometres— very impressive for a road shoe!

Great shoe but didn’t last

Bought these in October 2022 as my first pair of plated running shoes after running in Kinvaras for several years. Started using them in late January 2023 and took some getting used to but came to really enjoy the added cushion and bounce. I’m a casual runner who runs 2-3 times a week and no more than 30 miles per month. After about 100 miles the rubber on the sole began to peel off. I’ve never had this problem with the Kinvara as the sole is a solid piece of foam vs. foam with pieces of rubber on this shoe. I’d like to get another pair but I’m reluctant to do so given the durability issues.

Soft Daily Trainer with Durability Issues

I want to first say that I LOVE Saucony and run almost exclusively in their shoes. Unfortunately, the Speed 3 does not live up to its name. This is a soft, daily trainer with durability issues and any spring whatsoever was gone after 100 miles The upper has been falling apart since about the same time, and it feels like the shoe promotes a heel strike for some reason but theres no rocker to help you get to your big toe. Very weird feeling shoe, that just never feels right. I would opt for almost anything else in their line of road shoes before spending the money on these.

Endorphin Speed 3

It’s a great shoe it is lite and extremely comfortable. Plenty of cushion and it fits great around my heel. I recently ran a half marathon in then them with absolutely no issues.

A huge Let Down

I was disappointed with the Endorphin Speed 3 shoes. I hadn't used them in a while, So when I started to tie one of my shoes, the Aglets popped right out of the lace; I paid no mind to it, so I started my run. As soon as I started running, the insole on the left shoe kept sliding back to my heel. It was highly uncomfortable, and the insole ultimately came out even when I took the shoe off. I suspect this shoe may have been a defect when it was created. I would not recommend these shoes and staying with the Endorphin Speed 2. Huge let down.

Wear and Tear is surprisingly good and I use daily

I purchased these shoes about 3 months ago. Approximately 150 miles. I was going to buy the Kinvaras but the sales rep at the Berkeley Half Marathon packet pickup showed me these shoes. The feel really felt forward without any silly drop manipulations. Very light but crisp shoe. Somehow the shoe is cushy on the slower runs but acts like impact foam(more responsive) on faster runs. Good durability despite the lighter sole. I orginally bought these to race in but it performs well as a daily. Not so hard and miserable as the Nike Vaporfly 4% or whatever those are. Those are sooo stiff. HOKA's version too is really hard and kills plantar and dorsiflexion that the foot wants to do. The nylon wingplate provides some responsiveness to the thicker sole. Its not like roadflats-thin and hard on the knees

Solid upgrade over version 2

Not sure how it happened but Saucony has become my favorite brand for running shoes. This is my second pair of ES3 and I love this shoe. I have run in the previous version (ES2) and I appreciate the improvements to the midsole and upper that the ES3 offers. The midsole feels more stable in the heel and the waist has been broadened in the ES3. The upper is perfect. Looks great and feels great. Fits TTS for me. The extra set of flat laces was a nice surprise. I prefer these to the rope laces that were already on the shoe. The ES2 was very good shoe. Light and nimble. But the ES3 is a step in the right direction.
