Best Glove Made

I am a gearhead and have a thing for trying gloves. I have tried everything from Burton to Moncler. There are a lot of really good gloves out there, but these stand out and have the features I look for. The wrist system is one that goes under the sleeve, which I like, but most under-the-sleeve gloves let in powder in the backcountry. These gloves wrist closure is extended (a little longer than all others) so they stay under the sleeve and no gaps form to let in pow. They are warm and the gor tex repels water very nicely. Lastly, they just look good and are at a very reasonable price point. Well done BDE.

Sizing is weird

BD recommended S or M. I ordered M and could barely get them on. Once on, they strangled my hands like a boa constrictor. I returned them for a size L. I still have trouble getting them on but once on, the left glove feels good and the right seems a little tight. I’m aware that feet and b**bs can be larger on one side than the other but didn’t think it applied to hands. Hopefully they’ll break in a little bit and I’ll love them. The quality seems to be there. The sizing for my unremarkable hands seems a little weird.

loved the fit of these gloves. . .

the most out of all the BD gloves i tried but i went with the impulse gloves bc they seem like they are rated for colder weather (although annoyingly BD has 2 different temperature ratings at different parts of the web page for both the impulse and legend gloves. (come on guys! :)) one area of Legend's page shows them rated 0-15F and another area says 0-30F. one area of Impulse page says 0-15 then another area say -5-25F. they also show the Impulse gloves having different weights 266. 3g and then 280g lol. i went with impulse gloves bc they are thicker and therefore have to be rated for colder weather im guessing. (also the permaloft rating is better in the Impulse. ) my hands are 8. 6 inches long and 9. 2 inches circumference. i went with large evethough i am bt L and XL. my fingers are long but palms are not girthy and i also figure these wil stretch out a lot being they are leather

Runs small

These are bomber gloves, but they run small! I ordered a large using the BD sizing chart, measured at the bottom end of the large size, and these are snug. I thought they would be fine, but first time out in snow - very difficult to get on if your hands are damp or have any snow on them. Unfortunately too late to exchange - already waxed them. Bummer.

Nimble and Warm

I’m a ski dad so dexterity and warmth are the game these days. With the Legends I can tend to little zippers and snack bags while keeping these gloves on and keeping my fingers warm. I’ve only been out a few days in them so far but the leather is holding up with carrying multiple skis and adjusting bindings. These are good for the average day out.

Great gloves - large size runs small

Great gloves I ended up having to send a pair back because the sizing chart is off for large hands. I was at the bottom end of measurements for large but the gloves were too tight. If in doubt I would go a size up. Otherwise the quality of the glove is great for the price. They seem warm so far and the leather is supple after applying the NikWax.

SO Warm, fragile

These gloves are SO warm. I've had them in the field well below 0 and I find I don't need to grab my mitts. Downside is the leather in the palm is SUPER fragile. This is my second pair and they tear super easily. Be careful and if you're using them for guiding or patrolling, maybe don't make them the go to for heavy duty use.

Stoked

Only a few days in. Breaking in easily. The cuff is lights out! Long enough and tight enough to keep warm and run a velcro jacket sleeve over the top of the cuff. Not tight but form fitting to keep the weather and air out. Works perfectly. Better than expected! Used for: Cold Colorado resort days for this review.

Leather Genius

Whoever invented this design must've been a patroller. I usually use the gauntlet style glove but after many seasons of getting snow in my cuff, saw these and made the switch. I hope they're sturdy like my old BD gloves that survived 4 seasons of Pro Patrolling in the PNW.

Great gloves

I have owned many BD winter gloves over the years and they are all well built, the Legend is another well made glove. If you are looking for a great under the cuff glove for ripping in cold weather, this is it. Keep in mind its a glove, not a mitt so... it's not as warm.
