This jacket does not seem like OR quality to me. My primary issue is the very cheap coil zippers used. They are hard to open and close and on my second wear, one of the pocket zippers came off the track. It's been impossible to fix. I'm not sure if it's a sewing defect, but there are no stoppers on the pocket zippers. All the seams are plain seams, not double stitched. It also arrived with the coat hook not sewn in. Overall I don't think this jacket is very well made, especially for the price and OR brand. The positives for me are the fit, the warmth and the color. I am 5'10" and I really like the length of this jacket. I've used the jacket four times now in 15 degree, snowy weather and have stayed warm. The teal color is really nice in person.
I bought this jacket in a blue for skiing and absolutely love it! It’s so warm and the armpit ventilation is great for when it’s warmer temps. The pockets are amazing, so many to choose from! I sized down to an xs and fits perfectly, not bulky or too tight I can’t move. I’ve havent had any issues with the zipper and I was worried because most people complained about that. I find just hold the jacket from the bottoms and zip up. 10/10
I love this jacket. It’s super warm so it requires minimal layering underneath. Recently I’ve needed to use the pit zips because I’ve gotten too warm. The colors on this jacket are sick and I’m obsessed with the number of pockets. A ski pass pocket which I’ve never had, mesh pocket on the inside to hold an extra lense, and multiple zippered pockets for my phone and snacks.
I love my Women’s Snowcrew Jacket. It has great features. It’s warm, wind resistant, moisture resistant, has great pit vents for when it’s warmer out or I’m skiing hard. Overall it’s a great looking and great feeling jacket. I highly recommend it. I also bought the matching Snowcrew pants, and I love them too!
Confused why it says waterproof. Went for a walk in the snow and I was soaked from the snowfall. An hour later I put it back on and was freezing bc it was soaked. Returned. I was so excited for this jacket too but was met with disappointment/confusion. I was very warm however before it got soaking wet.
Awesome jacket! Very warm without the bulk. Has all the right pockets you want for storage and zippers for breathability/air flow. Also has the double-zipper option (unzipping from the bottom to allow more wiggle room around the hips). I tried MANY other brands to find a good fit, and so many are cut way to narrow for anyone with hips or any curves. I am typically a M/L in tops and an XL / size 14 in jeans and the XL in this jacket fit great -- the arms were not excessively long, and there was enough room around my hips. I've snowboarded twice in the jacket, and I was warm and dry all day.
Looks nice on the website and the model in the video but it isn't super flattering on me. I'm 5'2 and 128 lbs and I don't know if it is the shape of it or the insulation and I don't know how to put it any other way but it makes me look overweight and I'm not. I got a size small. It also isn't super warm. The northern Minnesota wind does come through while on the slopes. Might be warm enough if using it while being a little more active like snowshoeing. I like length of arms, thumb holes, length of jacket and that hood fits over helmet. Those are the positives.Wishing I would have went with a Gore-Tex shell.
I just wanted to make a note about the size because after reading the other reviews, I opted for an XS-which I normally would not buy. I'm 5'2 and 128 lbs (for a reference, I wear between a size 6-8 in jeans). The length was good and sleeves as well but it was a wee bit tight around the waist. Plus the jacket is pretty thin so you will want to wear a fleece or something underneath if you are someone who is out skiing in temps below 20. So with the bulk you have to wear under (plus ski pants), you may want to go with a size small unless you are really petite and thin. I'll be returning for a size up.
This jacket was perfect for me. It protects you from branches, wind, and water too. For context, I went hiking to a cliffside beach so I could scavenge for shark teeth in the freezing water. This jacket kept me warm, comfortable, and safe from an extremely cold wind chill. It kept me super warm and regulated my body temp well, so I didn't sweat. I'd recommend this jacket for both a beginner and an expert. The only thing I'd be wary about is the main zipper. Sometimes it gets caught and won't zip, so be patient with it. Overall, this jacket gets whatever job you need done for a good price.
Looking forward to using this jacket skiing. Feels like it'll be very warm, also love the different pockets especially the ski pass pocket on the sleeve. I did find it to fit a bit larger than other jackets, I usually wear a medium but ordered a small after reading other reviews on this jacket. For reference, I am 5'8 and 150 lbs, I find this jacket fits slightly loose especially around the stomach and butt, even with a thin base layer shirt and a fleece sweater. So depending on if you like a really baggy jacket with room for lots of layers or a snugger fit consider ordering a size down.
