I bought this around half a year ago. The shoes are waterproof and comfortable right out of the box and I have worn this on multiple hikes with my dog in the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and Northern Italy. Never once have I had pain in my feet and never once have I slipped from rocks, grass, dirt, sand, snow or stone. But I did almost occassionally slip on ice though. So in outdoor conditions it is a almost perfect shoe. I have noticed that if you walk on a wet tile kitchen floor you might slip, so I don't recommend them as shoes for a server or if you work in a kitchen. A sometimes minor setback is that the shoe laces eventually get loose even when you put a double knot in them, but I do have to mention that the laces are robustly made and are really sturdy. In my opinion it's a minor issue, since tying shoelaces isn't a huge problem in my experience. Since it is gore tex, it is waterproof and I have walked in snow, puddles and in rain with it while I was hiking. But I did notice that when you walk on the beach or a dry gritty mountainous region, a lot of sand or small grit can get stuck in the mesh of the shoes and it can be really hard to get out or clean it. I haven't noticed any holes or integrity failures yet, since I try to clean them as soon as possible if I walk in sandy or dusty places. One thing that really surprised me is that the rubber seam in the shoe let loose and it quite disappointed me since I was so fond of these pair of shoes.
I walked around the city in them for less than a month, I didn't even go out on the slopes and into the mountains, the welding seam began to diverge at the bend of the sock, and on both shoes at once. I am very disappointed. But in general, the shoes are comfortable, they do not rub or squeeze.

These seem like they could be nice shoes but the pair I bought for my son immediately began to fray after just a couple of days. Had to return them.

I have purchased several pairs of both regular and mid. Holds the terrain very well. Never had foot issues.
The shoe, though comfortable, light, agile and somewhat breathable, have not been durable at all.. the photo below is after one hike, the seams were already peeling. After having to pay the shipping to return and not getting a refund for that, I received credit so I bought the same pair again hoping it was manufactured defect. I was wrong.. I am currently in Patagonia and after 3 day hikes I’m getting the same seam coming apart. I am disappointed as i would expect the absolute best with the price and brand. I will never get these again

These shoes are amazing they help me with my stride. I feel so comfortable and can actually feel the grips in different parts of your foot during your gate. I didn't like the laces so I got the quick lace system that makes it the perfect shoe. I like the shoe so much that I purchased another pair in a brown. They seem to be older with a different format around the toe. I like them just as much. The older one feels like there's more stiffness less room around the outside foot the new ones seem a bit wider than that. That info may help with the people that felt the shoe is too narrow in the bottom width wise.
I found out that the other reviews of arcteryx footwear that mention folding, creasing or delaminating is accurate. This material feels hard wearing but is quite uncomfortable and the folding due to normal walking results in separating of the outer layer. Ugh. I’d probably deal with it but this midsole is also super hard and unforgiving. So not a high mileage shoe at all, leaves me confused as to its purpose. Oh well, you live and you learn and move on…

These take the crown for being the worst shoes I purchased within the last 25 years. They are very uncomfortable and hurt my feet after a couple of hours. Specifically, they hurt my insteps (right shoe is even worse). They are not durable either and the shoes look deformed after light use. The hard soles contribute to additional discomfort by the end of the day. These are going to my local Goodwill store soon.

I purchased the Aerios Gortex shoes six months ago. I wore them for the first time in the rain today. The shoes got soaked with water inside. Later after I dried the shoes, I tested them by immersing the bottom part of the shoes in a bucket of water. Tons of water went inside. The shoes aren't waterproof at all. But they are comfortable and I really like the looks of them. I tried to submit a service request a couple of times but after filling out the form, the "submit" button didn't work. I will continue wearing the shoes happily but not in wet conditions, which is a bit of a disappointment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought them about a month by now, very comfortable and enjoying wearing them wherever I go.
