Out of the box the fit was great, I wear a 9.5 mens and was pleasantly surprised how well they fit. The toe box offered just enough room to provide a nice fit without feeling crowded. With little breaking in I took these for an immediate spin with a 3 mile hike in the rain. Paired with Arc’teryx wool socks my feet were dry and warm afterwards. The trail was muddy and it was about 40 degrees out that afternoon. We then went out for a snow day in the Willamette pass, where after our time on the mountain I slipped these on where again my feet were dry and warm walking in the wet snow and slushy parking lot in the 30 some odd degrees. I did try these with paved trails with thinner socks, feet were dry but cold (35 degrees out). The Vibram soles are a bit too hard on paved paths but great and reliable on trails. I did reading on cleaning and did use Nikwax tech cleaner and a soft bristle brush to clear off the mud and grime, let those bad boys and air dry and voilà so fresh and so clean ready for the next adventure. My only downside is the lack of cushiness in the sole, I like a softer sole but this can be circumvented by a sock with thicker padding which I’m ok with given the size and weight of the boot. Not just a brand name but a quality product!
These shoes are beautiful, unfortunately the build quality is absolutely atrocious. I wear the older version of this shoe at work every day for the last year and a half, had zero problems... And wear the new version as my "nice shoes" when at home. in Less than 6 months of mild use, the shoelace attachments fell apart and the sole begin to detach. I ended up sowing this shoe back together many times and will likely never buy arcteryx shoes ever again. I'm going back to LaSportiva.

Nice shoes, comfortable and super light. Sole isn’t grippy enough in my opinion for rough terrain. The main issue is that the shoes are not strongly built at all and they are now completely falling appart after normal usage. textile is ripping, glued component are coming off, laces loop are breaking. I need now new shoes. Honestly they’re not worth their tag price.

What a trainer/boot love them, so comfortable. I’ve ran in them over the Scottish moors and hills. Zero issues, grip Is great. Comfortable and reliable so far
The shoe itself is amazing in term of hiking comfort and the support it is providing. However, it is almost impossible to clean it, for the ones in light color. I would like to bring to your attention an issue I encountered regarding the shoe's cleanability, particularly when purchased in a light color. During my recent hiking trip to Yosemite, I noticed that the shoe accumulated a significant amount of dirt and grime. Despite my diligent efforts to clean it, I found it exceedingly challenging to remove the stains from the rubber bumper head and the main side cloth made of Gore-tex. I dedicated several hours to researching and trying various shoe-cleaning products in an attempt to restore the shoe's original appearance, but unfortunately, none of them yielded satisfactory results. Consequently, I deeply regret purchasing the light-colored variant of this shoe, and I sincerely hope that improvements can be made in this regard. I believe that addressing this issue would greatly enhance the overall customer experience for individuals who purchase the light-colored version. Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as I value your commitment to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service. You can review the pictures below after a few attempts and a few hours cleaning.

Shoelace eyelet failed after two wears (<10 miles). Very glad I opted to by through REI due to their return policy. Saw plenty of reviews that the previous generation had this issue and was hoping the revised shoe would have this addressed, but I was unfortunately wrong.
So I got these before going on a large hike in Hawaii. First, it took me NO TIME to break them in! Most comfortable shoe I've had from Arc yet. Then, the grip on rock, snow, ice was super impressive. The goretex and waterproofness of the outer material are fantastic as expected. The comfort and versatility and how LIGHT the shoe is - all fantastic. BUT sadly, after the 22 mile hike in Hawaii, the front lip already started coming off. The terrain was nothing crazy, just some mud and water really. A bit disappointed. And I've found the upper part is starting to wear so much faster than other boots I've had which have lasted ages longer.
Only worn a couple of times but feel like I’ve had them for months. Lightweight comfortable .i did have to size up
Bought them a month ago, already ripping apart. Super disappointed

I really want to love these boots but they're not making it easy. The profile of the boot is great. Slim on the top of the foot, minimal bulk but still nice protection around the toe cap. The way the heel is constructed there's a surged seam right down the center of the heel which causes pretty bad rubbing. I basically have to toss a bandaid on my heel if I'm going to be out in these for more than a mile or two. Mine also developed a pretty bad squeak within the first couple times wearing them which drives me nuts. These might just be one-off issues I had with mine, and probably the first Arc product out of many that's disappointed me.
