Suprisingly worth it
I really hate to say it but getting some expensive sunglasses turned out to be worth it. I wear these on every bike ride - mountain, road, gravel, CX. I've got hundreds of miles on the glasses so if you think about it - less than $1/mile easily. They keep the wind out of my eyes (i have dry eyes) and the mud and rain stay out too. No issues with the glasses sliding down my nose which my old cheap glasses had. AND one time i bonked my helmet when the glasses were on top and instead of breaking the arms just ejected off and I put it back together!
Lense tint & size
I love these. I have a small face so these are the perfect size. The polarized colored lense tint is a lot lighter than I was expecting. I was concerned they wouldn't block enough sun while riding, but I have found they are totally fine. I do have a visor on my bike helmet that blocks the sun while riding too though. The combo together is perfect, even in sunny Colorado.
