I bought the gloves last year. The Buffalo winter wasn't bad this year. This year the mornings have been in the teens or a single digits, and my fingers are ice cold. They are beat red, my exposed face was warmer than my fingers.
Perhaps the worse outdoor product purchased. Yes, they are warm. However, wore them in a light rain for about 90 minutes, under my Dryvent shell. Dryvent did keep me dry, suprisingly. Montana Gloves got so soaked that water pooled in the fingers. Never mind the absolutely soaked rest of the glove. Worse than a sponge. Left them out in the sun to dry out for 4 days now and still wetter than our sponge used to clean the dishes. It's so bad, I can't even get angry. North Face products ( with a few notable exceptions) continues to earn it's horrible reputation on the mountain.
I was a little skeptical about these because of their low price but decided to take a chance anyway. I got one size over to make it easier to put on and to leave room for a liner. Also I find them warmer when there is room for a little air. I took a two hour hike in subzero wind chill and my hands were fine the entire time. The generous cuff makes it easy to fit over even a heavy jacket. Durability is the only question mark (comes over time), but nothing about the construction gives me reason to think they won't hold up. Quite pleased.
The North Face Men's Montana Ski Gloves deliver great warmth, comfort, and protection on cold days. They feel well padded without being bulky, and the inside is soft and cozy. The waterproof design keeps hands dry in snow, while the insulation keeps them warm during long hours outdoors. The fit is secure and adjustable, making it easy to move your fingers and grip ski poles or gear. They also have a durable build that holds up well after repeated use. Overall, these gloves are reliable, warm, and comfortable-an excellent choice for skiing or any cold-weather activity.

I am a gloves nut, having multiple pairs of different brands. These North Face gloves are simply in the top 2% in terms of comfort and keeping your hands toasty warm. I really like the amount of material that fits above the wrist. Great for walks and downhill skiing.
These are very nice winter gloves. They have those nice options (nose wipe on the thumb, clips, and bands). The large is what I'd expect for sizing. These gloves also look nice. And yes, they work! I haven't skied with them, but I use them for other outdoor activities like shoveling and walking outdoors in cold Wisconsin winter weather. They keep my hands warm. I'm not sure they'd be good below zero, but in the 10s and 20s they're good!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gloves are worth every penny spent on them!! I've been exclusively buying Northface products for 20 years and they do what they are supposed to. The quality is excellent and they exceeded all expectations like they do with everything else I've bought from them. I would definitely recommend these as your new winter gloves you won't be let down. In fact you will be on here writing a review singing their praises just like me!
I use these Montana Ski Gloves for winter hiking and camping in the Great Smoky Mountains and the Adirondack Mountains in up state New York where temperatures can reach below zero, these gloves are exceptionally warm and very comfortable, the best investment I ever made for a pair of gloves. I like them a lot. Not only did I buy the Montana Ski gloves I also bought the Montana Ski mittens.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was very disappointed in these. They're not like the ones I had several years ago. Cons: The stitching at the fingertips seems shoddy with threads coming out. Loosening and/or tightening the fastener with tugging takes a lot of finagling. The e-tip function does not work as advertised. Pros: Looks attractive and feels warm. It is waterproof but it starts to feel cold afterwards.
