I bought the gloves last year. The Buffalo winter wasn't bad this year. This year the mornings have been in the teens or a single digits, and my fingers are ice cold. They are beat red, my exposed face was warmer than my fingers.
The North Face Men's Montana Ski Gloves deliver great warmth, comfort, and protection on cold days. They feel well padded without being bulky, and the inside is soft and cozy. The waterproof design keeps hands dry in snow, while the insulation keeps them warm during long hours outdoors. The fit is secure and adjustable, making it easy to move your fingers and grip ski poles or gear. They also have a durable build that holds up well after repeated use. Overall, these gloves are reliable, warm, and comfortable-an excellent choice for skiing or any cold-weather activity.

Purchased these for a trek to Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) Basecamp in the middle of winter. Others in my group had very expensive "top of the line" gloves. These North Face ski gloves worked just as well as their gloves but at a fraction of the cost. Note: I wore liner gloves that I bought separately.
These gloves are nice quality that you can feel. But they're also as thick as astronaut gloves and for all that bulk not that warm. Would not buy again. Might get mittens instead.
Was looking for a pair of new 5-finger gloves to handle snowshoeing, dog walking, and anything in-between. Unfortunately, these did not work out for me. The glove geometry seemed good when trying them on in the store but the moment I used them outdoors and held onto poles and leashes, their flawed dexterity revealed itself. I felt restricted when expanding the thumb and index finger. It felt like the stitching was prohibiting this movement. Additionally, my ring finger and pinkie kept sliding down for some reason, leaving a significant gap between the finger tip and the top of the glove. This ended leaving these two fingers getting cold quit rapidly, even during activity. While this was solved by pulling the gloves down the arm and making sure the fingers were properly back in place, this became an annoying chore to have to keep doing. Not sure if I got a bad stitch or if these just weren’t meant to be for me. REI was wonderful in taking them back and I’ll be looking for a different pair of gloves for winter fun. If you’re buying in-store, walk over to the poles and check your dexterity while wearing the gloves.
I use these Montana Ski Gloves for winter hiking and camping in the Great Smoky Mountains and the Adirondack Mountains in up state New York where temperatures can reach below zero, these gloves are exceptionally warm and very comfortable, the best investment I ever made for a pair of gloves. I like them a lot. Not only did I buy the Montana Ski gloves I also bought the Montana Ski mittens.
I recently purchased these Men's Montana Ski Gloves, and they are fantastic! The design is both comfortable and practical, perfect for outdoor activities in cold weather. The gloves are made with high-quality materials, providing excellent warmth and waterproofing, which kept my hands dry and cozy during skiing. The grip is strong, making it easy to handle equipment.
i bought the women's version of these gloves for my daughter and they worked so well I bought them for my son. They are warm, soft on the inside and stay dry most importantly. The reason I gave them a four is because the fingers themselves are weirdly short. Worse on the women's glove than the men's. Overall, a very good snowboarding glove.
North Face states (as advetised) these are in the "warmest" category, but for me they are not. However, it is the balance (or trade-off) one takes between warmth and dexterity (i.e., purchasing mittens than gloves). Wind protection is very good. I don't know about how they hold up in wetter conditions.
