I agree with most of the reviews here. These boots are undeniably cute and the wide/thick bottom gives you about an inch and a half of height without feeling unstable. The tongue is weird but wasn't an issue for me when I wore over-the-ankle socks. My biggest issue and reason for my return was the tightness on the toes. I would occasionally experience a bit of pinky toe pain but assumed I was just breaking them in. Then I took them on a series of downhill and alpine hikes. I wore thicker wool socks for the first time and oh my god was it bad. My pinky toes blistered so badly I would have to unlace my boots and take my feet out any time I wasn't actively walking. I would call it a Cheryl Strayed "Wild" situation, but I don't actually think the length of the shoe was the problem at all. I don't have wide feet by any stretch, so I have to conclude the issue lies with them making the toe box too narrow/inflexible. Could be great if you have narrow feel though!
Pros: very cute, actually are waterproof. Cons: super uncomfortable for longer hikes - caused bad blisters on my ankles. tongue is way too short. Wound not recommend
I was really excited to get these because they look so cute, and they looked just as cute in person, however i agree with one of the other reviewers that the tongue is too short and it really digs into your ankle. I'm not sure if this would get better once you broke them in or not, but for the price i'm not willing to find out. I'll be returning these, unfortunately.
