I bought these for cold weather fieldwork in Arizona. I was looking for the most dexterous heated gloves that were semi-durable. The interior liner material does not provide enough resistance against the outer soft shell material, which makes it slightly loose feeling. Getting fingers to the end of the glove is also not the easiest. I would consider different gloves if dexterity is needed. I would still rate these as decent heated gloves as they do provide heat without overheating your hands. The 2 hour runtime on high seems low, but you can turn them to medium/low once they have heated throughout. TLDR: I would purchase these heated gloves if dexterity is not paramount.

Short battery life and only works on highest setti
I purchased these gloves based on brand loyalty and the expectation that OR would be a no-brainer for high quality gloves. I have used them three times now. The low and medium settings provided no warmth and the high setting gave me 1.5 hours of battery life compared to the 2.5 hours that OR promised. These are getting returned and I will be more cautious about future purchases. On top of this, REI charges about $90 more than buying them from other retailers.
Wonderful to have warm hands
My husband is so happy to have warm hands on his morning walks! He loves these gloves. I measured his hands and bought the large accordingly. Maybe should have gotten the Xlarge as they were a bit snug at the wrists. After multiple wearing they are now easier to get into. The batteries last well for his two hour walks even the day they were on high. Usually medium or low is adequate. When used for two days without charging and using high the batteries did run out. They are holding up well and so far very pleased.
Good glove for casual events only.
These gloves are quite effective for casual strolls in town or social gatherings with friends. However, they fall short under extreme conditions and are not waterproof, so additional waterproof layers would be advisable. Another point of contention is their sizing chart. I found the large size too restrictive in the thumb area, whereas the XL seemed overly spacious, almost half of an inch around the fingers. The sizes appear to vary significantly. I initially purchased both the large and XL sizes, but eventually returned the XL. On the upside, the gloves do keep your hands warm and largely align with their advertised function, although there is room for improvement in terms of waterproofing and sizing.
Bulky and overrated.
These were a gift, I would not have purchased them if found in a store. My biggest compliant is that the fingers were too long. Even after pushing my fingers as fas as possible into the glove there was still 3/4 of an inch of material beyond my fingertip. This made doing anything in them very clumsy. I wore them once for a dog walk and could not even get the leash clilpped to the collar while wearing them. The internal insulation was very loose which made getting them on an off difficult. The power switches to turn the heaters on lite up like Christmas trees, red; yellow or green depending upon the setting. Something more subdued is in order. I suppose the gloves performed their primary function of keeping your hands warm but their faults made staying in the house to keep your hands warm a better option.
Not so “hot“
I asked the family for these for cold weather bicycle riding, and got them for Xmas. Getting them on was a challenge, the inner glove has to be manipulated and pushed and shoved to fit your finger and the outer glove is still longer. Why such a hassle to simply get them on? Then the real trial: First time I tried them, I started on low heat, went up to medium, and finally clicked up to high heat. I couldn’t feel warmth. At 44 degrees, my hands were not freezing but not warmth from “heater”, maybe warm from insulation? They might be OK under a pair of insulated mittens but what’s the point in spending so much money for heated gloves that do not heat? I wanted to feel warm, not just “ not cold”. Someone suggested they might be defective but other reviews verify my experience. I was going to try to exchange them but they seem to be sold out of my size.
worth having, but tweaks still needed
We actually got these primarily for driving our electric car, since we don;t want to waste car battery power to heat the interior. One tip I learned is to turn them on to high a few minutes before putting them on, and that's when you really notice how warm they are. THe lower settings are too low to warm up cold hands, but great for maintenance so warm hands stay warm. My 2 complaints are that the battery life seems to be quite a bit less than advertised, and the fingers feel really chubby, so they are not as comfortable to wear as we hoped.
Warm but not Hot
Gloves seam to work well in moderately cold conditions (between 12 and 25 degrees) Not sure about any thing cooler though). Fit is good. A large seams to equate to about 9.5-10. I’ve used them for downhill skiing several times and enjoy the dexterity of a glove whilst keeping my Ranauds syndrome in check . I’ll use them for biking and XC skiing and I expect them to function great. They don’t look super durable but we shall see how they fare. They’re well made but just not stoutly built

WARM
These gloves are awesome. Worth every penny. I use these gloves for hunting, working outside and other outdoor activities. The battery life last longer than I expected, my only thing is there seems to be a slight tightness in the knuckles but not too bad. I have the xl's. I'd recommend this item to anyone. Green is warm enough for me. Red will cook your hands unless you're up in the arctic circle. Keep the batteries charged and they'll last forever.

Better options available
I bought gloves and used twice. Its barely noticeable when gloves are turned on any setting specifically high. Tried in 20 degrees and also in 34. Hands got cold both times. I work on a mtn and usually use basic lined leather gloves and add heater packet if i get cold. Splurged to get heated gloves and sorry i did. These are going back. Also water resistant for about 20 minutes. Drizzle went through them like they were cotton. Very underwhelmed!
