Photo with hat on.

I couldn’t edit my original review so I’m adding this photo here. After a few days, I still love the hat. The brim is quite effective blocking the sun, even though it is much smaller than my typical safari hat brim.

Great Hat

Just picked up this hat and I can already tell it'll be my go-to hat for cold weather. For adults -- I would recommend going straight for the L/XL. I originally purchased the S/M online but when I picked it up at my local REI, the S/M was extremely snug and actually fit my 5yo son perfectly (neither of us would ever be accused of having big heads). The REI teammate helping us even asked if it was a children's hat when she looked at it.

Great cold weather dog walking hat

I’ve got a giant head. I wear a 7.5 and 7.75 Tilley in warm weather. I needed a warm hat with a brim to block the sun for long winter walks. This hat fits my head comfortably even while wearing glasses. The ear flaps with the string adjustment work well to block the wind. It looks cool too. I’ll add a photo later once I take one. The hat is extremely light and was warm in 40 degree winter temps so far.

Nice hat but beware of sizing

The hat itself is nice and warm, but the sizing is way off. I am an average to small woman and the S/M hat was way too small; almost child size. The L/XL fits me fine. Not sure it would fit a large person, though.

A cap to keep your head protected.

I love this cap. It’s ideal for dark, cold, and windy runs when I usually start out at four am. The small brim allows my headlamp to get its full beam on the trail but big enough to block out sunrise and the early morning sunshine until it warms up enough to switch to a full brimmed cap. It has enough insulation to block out harsh wind and cold and is easily adjustable. The small/medium fit perfectly.

Fjallraven Expedition

I bought this hat for two reasons. One, I wanted a warm hat that would cover my ears. And two, I wanted a hat with a bill that would stick out beyond my jacket hood. I thought the hat would be a little warmer than it actually is. All in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Comfort on cold, windy days; size runs small

I love how this hat keeps my ears and neck warm on winter walks. It has some elastic around the crown of the head for overall fit, but then has a nice drawstring that cinches the bottom edge of the ear/neck flap agains the body, preventing wind from sneaking under the flap. Really adds to the comfort of a winter walk when it is windy. One caution, the sizing on this product runs small. I am a small man and the small/medium size was uncomfortablyltight. I needed the large/xl size

Great for cycling

I have used this hat down to 18 degrees and it is still warm fits tight enough so wind does not come in even with sunglasses on,this was while riding a fat bike several times,if you can go to a store to get the best fit it does tighten in the rear of the hat

Lightweight, comfortable & versatile hat

I bought this hat last year. It’s very comfortable to wear.. I find that I get itchy with wool hats so this is much better for me. It’s very lightweight and warm without being too hot. The ear flaps cover my ears completely when folded down and when you cinch in the cord this eliminates drafts to the ears. Packs down real small so easily fits into pockets without being bulky. I haven’t worn it in the rain but it’s small enough to be comfortable under a hood. The peak is also useful. My head size is 7.5” and the XL fits perfectly
