Runs wide
The reason I rated 3 stars is the description was misleading and I thought this was for a woman. It runs wide so I gave to my husband and he gave me his which fits my thin neck much better. The quality is great and I would highly recommend. If you are thin necked, however, it will be loose and allow too much cold air in.
great product, not meant for larger people
first and foremost, this neck gaiter does keep you warm the entire time, it feels nice on the skin and easy to manipulate, i lowered one star because if you have a larger neck than average this will feel tight, for reference i usually button a 18 1/2 neck or 19 depending on the brand of the shirt, more often than not this neck gaiter feels like it is chocking me, especially if i start to move with it on.
the real deal
there are lots of neck gaiters out there. this one checks off all the boxes. the fabric is soft. the height and weight are just right. there's enough give but it also fits close, which is what you want to protect your nose and mouth on wintry days. and the price was right. please, REI, more colors.
Perfect for winter weather
Love this neck gator...can easily slip over face to eye level for maximum protection from cold weather and wind. Very soft and comfortable next to skin
Good fleece gaiter
Nice a warm. Most gaiters are very tight on me. Not a big deal, but this one is less constricting but still stays up just fine.
Essential for outdoor sports
Great neck warmer! Sent my son on his first ski trip to “get outside” and he did…lost this neck warmer along with 1 mitten so I owned it for exactly 24 hours. Would totally get another one as my kiddo is now obsessed with skiing.
Great Fleece for Good Price
I needed a neck warmer for my ski trip to South Lake Tahoe. It did the job, kept my next warm and was also able to extend it over my nose and mouth when on the lift and when the wind started to pick up as we went down the slope. Recommend for the price and function.
Good
Out of the box this feels nice and soft. it is a bit tighter / close fitting than I prefer - I like a fairly loose neck gaiter - don't like having anything close to my neck. Will give it a try. Hope it doesn't shrink in the wash - I won't be able to use it.
Great in the office
Both neck gaiters were for two secretaries where I go for physical therapy-torture. They loved them. Good job 👏 REI.
