I have had these shoes for roughly 3 months. My activities have included mostly casual wear. I’ve gone on approximately two or three runs of less than 2 miles duration I’ve played roughly 10 hours of Pickleball in them. However, they have multiple failures. Both shoes now have a tear in the material at the outside flexion point where the fifth toe meets the foot both sides have an opened tear. Also, the black tread on the bottom is peeling up on the right shoe. On the inside of the left shoe, the On logo is peeling up. Three months of casual wear, and only minimal exercise should never, in any case, lead to this much damage on a shoe. Furthermore, running in them is uncomfortable.
They didnt' last even 1 year, so no worth paying premium for these. 50 dollars sneakers would last longer. Fitment was perfect, they run perfect to the size I usually wear. Bouncy and feel light on feet which was good.
I've walked less than 10 miles in these shoes and I'm already noticing wear near the heel of the outsole. I was also experiencing some rubbing against my ankle when wearing the shoe, but adding an additional insole helped. I really want to like this shoe but I don't feel that it'll last me my money's worth.
I purchased a pair for my son $160.00, didn’t last 90 days before the sole fell apart. I would expect this from a cheap $50.00 pair. In addition the REI manager gave me some big story how they are past their effective life and only last 400 miles. Like my son has an odometer attached to his feet. REI would not exchange them and won’t stand behind the product. Fro now in you should how miles you can do in a pair of shoes you buy from REI. I won’t be buying shoes from them again!!!
Can’t say I’m happy about spending $170 on these. They are comfortable but not durable at all and these were just a daily shoe. Within a month I began to get a tear in the fabric at the heal of the shoe. By month three I had a large hole in the heel of both shoes and the foam coming out. The rest of the shoe held up okay but at this point they aren’t even wearable with just three months of regular use. I’ve had ASICS, Adidas, and New Balance and Nike and have never had this issue even when using them for running and daily wear.
Bought these with a little bit of hesitancy, mainly because they were a “popular shoe”. But I pulled the trigger and don’t regret it one bit. I love these for everyday movin and groovin or a 10+ mile run. Only issue I can think of is the bottom tread allows objects to become lodged in between the cloud bubbles, which really isn’t a big deal if you’re not going off road much.
These are the worst shoes I have ever run in. There is no cushion, I feel like there is something protruding from the sole into the balls of my feet. The left shoe eye hole digs into my foot. Contacted On with no response. Very disappointing.
The material and design is poor compared to last cloudflyer model. Specifically the back heal on past models was ridged and this one is just like every other running shoe. Trying to slip in and out of it is near impossible without the back breaking down. onclouds have the similar design but this one missed the mark.
I was walking around New York City last weekend in a pair of black low hiking shoes with black socks. They're very comfortable, but my spouse and daughter said I didn't look very hip. We stopped in the Soho REI, and I let them pick a pair of shoes they thought looked 'cooler.' My only requirement was that they fit and feel good and would be comfortable walking several miles. They picked these out, I tried them on (definitely worth trying on, they run small), and I walked nearly 20 miles in them over the next few days. The Cloudflyer is comfortable for a lot of walking and relatively roomy - I swapped a pair of custom orthotics for the stock insole, which is forgettable. The shoe vents heat well too.
Bought these lesss than a month ago and are the best shoes i’ve ever worn as a wide footer. Toe box has a ton of room which is very hard to find. Now to test the longevity of the shoe! i’ll update if i remember in 6 months-year to see how they’ve held up. I went true to size as well and worked perfectly. So my wide footers, don’t hesitate! I also bought the CloudGo in Wide and LOVE those too.
