Excellent fabric for this garment
All hoodie style garments are versatile. This one is designed for being one layer more than shirt sleeves. The fabric design is perfect for this. It is a tight weave on the outside with a small waffle inside. The waffle gives both added warmth, with a trapped air layer, and added breathability with a trapped air layer. The tight weave outside makes the garment want to repel a light misty rain. The thumb holes and slightly longer sleeves save your hands when needed. The hood is just tight enough over your face to save your ears walking into a strong wind. When it warms up it ties easily around your waist. The zippers are stout and the seams are too.
Interesting Jacket
I was so excited to receive the item but when I put it on it seems extra big. Then I thought maybe wash it and it would shrink a bit. It did, but it still looks frumpy. Then after I noticed that the placement of the clothes to the zipper actually prevents me from zipping it up some. Like it won’t even zip up because of the jacket to zipper ratio.

The fit is PERFECT! It’s FORM FITTING in all the right places. The material is much warmer than it appears to be. Perfect for outdoor adventures, running in cooler weather, or as a WARM pump cover for the gym. This is the most VERSATILE and FUNCTIONAL jacket I own!

🧥 Cotopaxi Otero Full-Zip Fleece Hoodie – Men’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This hoodie fits perfectly and has been great for my daily walks in cool Alaska weather. It’s lightweight but warm, and layers easily. I haven’t taken it on multi-day hikes yet, but for day hikes it’s been excellent — breathable, comfortable, and looks great too.
Really want to like this but...
I love all my Cotopaxi luggage and bags but clothing....Cotopaxi's sizing are all over the place. I ordered a small and it was really small. Then I exchange it for a medium which fits fine except the sleeves. They were way too short. So I ordered another style in this jacket. It looks great on the model but looks slouchy when I put it on. The fit should have been tighter but it is really loose, especially around the hood. I cannot imagining wearing it when I am skiing or winter biking under my helmet. The zipper is also on hard to engage on the bottom because the metal tab is kind of sewn too tight? I love the color combo but the fit and finish could be a lot better.

Love this full zip hoodie as it looks great,fits perfect,warm on breezy days and overall functions and durability as I am hard on my clothing! Cotopaxi apparel is my go to clothing for all my hiking needs!

Otero Jacket
Love the jacket, I’ve been looking for a lightweight full zip hoodie. They have all been either too heavy, or didn’t have a full zip. The Otero is just a little bit heavier than I wanted, but it’s pretty close. The waffle fabric helps it breathe well enough that the weight isn’t a problem. The jacket is a bit larger than I expected though. I bought a size large because that’s what I usually wear. However, I think a medium Otero would have fit better. Overall I’m very happy with it.
I returned this jacket after
I returned this jacket after purchase because the zipper section sort of puffed out instead of laying flat. Without tension pulling it down from top to bottom it wasn’t laying flush against my body no matter if I zipped it all the way to the top or half way etc. I am a little bit more muscular than the guy pictured. Seems like it would fit well for guys who are very slender like the model pictured, unfortunately not somebody like me who has broader shoulders and a bigger chest.
Nice fleece
Lightweight yet warm. Doesn't block wind but with a shell it's great. Awesome layer.
