I would buy this product again and agsin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pull one of these on every morning and put a hat on top of it before I head out for a 14 mile walk/hike/jog on the hilly roads in my rural Northeast town. Years and years ago I bought one of these and I didn't really know what to do with it. But recently I realized it could come in handy. Keeps bugs off my face and out of my hair and ears. Keeps my neck warm. I came back here a few times and just bought more because it is getting cold and my nose runs and my eyes water. I pretty much peel them off and throw them in the laundry. I wash all clothes and things on cold, then I hang almost everything on a drying rack. These things take no time at all to dry. When I can I will buy two more!

great option for deep cold

I wanted an option for deep cold days. This covers my nose while leaving my mouth exposed thus keeping me warm while minimizing moisture buildup that can freeze or fog up my sunglasses. I also like that it's made of wool instead all synthetic material.

Warm, and effective for the first few wears, then unravels

I loved this at first. My head and neck were super warm in sub zero temperatures. Then again. Then again. Then my fourth wear after a cold wash on delicate and hang dry, it became a frizz ball on my head. After a hike, I’d take it off to realize I had all kinds of debris stuck on the outside. I thought a wash would fix this; nope, the grass and small twigs still were stuck in the frizzed fabric, so I hand picked them all out and that took a while. The next few wears, seams started unraveling.

Product is as expected and what I needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not yet had the chance to use this balaclava, but it fits as expected. I am happy that it is 100% wool, which should provide some warmth even if it gets wet. This will be my head's base layer for this season's skiing and mountaineering.

nice coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will use this when biking and walking because it's thin and comfortable and fits under a hat or a bike helmet. It really adds warmth even as thin as it is because it's wool. Ready for winter in Chicago now!

Very good product. Would love a longer and slightly heavier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it. It's light, it doesn't stink, good color, good fit and keeps you 7.5/10 warm. It does leave your neck exposed if you don't have a high collar so be aware of that but the design is great.

A welcome addition for cold winter walking

This balaclava is light but warm; comfortable under a helmet or toque. I especially like that the design helps prevent my glasses from fogging up when I need full face coverage.
