Well-made and cute!
My 8yo girl tested these leggings and likes them. As the product indicates, there are two “stash” pockets on either side, which is nice for small treasures or trinkets from school. They are made extremely well, and even with hard play, there is no evidence of snagging. From a mom perspective, the tights run a tad small, IMO. We received size 8-10, but would have preferred the next size up for space and maximal longevity in my daughter’s closet. Love this brand, as they are eco-conscious and B Corp certified. Taking one star off for price, as kids grow so quickly. Definitely an investment piece, but if your child is into wearing activewear daily, could be spot-on for you.
Fantastic tights
My daughter loves these tights, and her mother wants an adult-sized pair! They are very well-made with solid attention to detail. The material is top notch: it's thicker and high quality -- not thin or flimsy like a lot of tights made for kids. They're perfect for hiking and running around on cooler days. My daughter loves the pockets on each side, and there is even a small, concealed pocket in the waistband. She says they're very comfortable. The only con I've noticed: As she's 5 and wears a 6, she needs a little help pulling them on because she's not yet accustomed to wearing tights that actually have nice compression.
lower quality version of the adult pants
The quality is a little off on these, they aren't exactly comparable to the adult pants. There is a lining on the inside of the pockets that's come off at one seam (I've only worn, washed, and air dried 3 times), so when you put a phone in your pocket, it gets tangled in the extra fabric. They aren't bad at the sale price, but they also aren't the quality you should expect from Athleta adult clothing.
Awesome
Got these for my daughter. She lives them and is living in them. They are comfortable (so I am told!), the pockets are great for holding a phone, ID, and card. She has been our waking and biking in them and commented on how well they fit, especially the comfort of the waistband.
Exceptionally comfortable
These were purchased for a very active 12 year old and they are exceptional - very comfortable and allow her a wide range of motion for skating, hiking, camping etc. They are also durable. They are among her fav pairs of pants now
