Very cheap and fall apart easily
Bought these in mid October and the first time I wore them, I noticed they had a loose yarn on the thumb. I was quickly replaced with a new set due to the damage. The new ones seemed fine the first couple of weeks of wear and now have 3 loose yarn on both gloves. Cost is too high for the loose pieces that get unraveled so easily. And I do not use them for heavy duty things and they have not snagged on anything when I wear them. Extra 2 stars given because customer service was really fantastic.
Great fingerless gloves
No idea why these are listed in the Men’s section. I’m a female and bought the pink/purple ones-I absolutely love them. Very soft/warm and look great with any winter outfit
Does the job, but I was expecting higher quality
I bought these to keep my hands warm while working at my desk in a cold office. They do keep my hands warmer and free up my fingers to type, but, the knit is much looser than I thought it would be. With a tighter knit I think they would be much warmer, and I can already see the thumb joint starting to separate a little bit. There's also a poorly positioned label that, even if you cut it off, scratches your wrist. I do like the design and colors a lot.
Great gloves, poor quality
Love all our smart wool socks and excited to find these for a gift for a family member. They are super soft and comfortable -a hit! She wore them all of Christmas day and by the evening some of the finger tips were unraveling and a hole was developing between the thumb and first finger on one of them. Went back to exchange them and the one on the rack in the store also had loose threads already at the finger tips, so we just returned them. Came to leave a review and see many others have the same issue. No idea why this product is so shoddy - real disappointment.
Cute but low quality
These are cute and comfy, but one of them started unraveling by the thumb after two wears, and is pulling in a second spot after a week. I'll be returning in favor of an old pair I have from a previous winter.
Poor Quality, Not Worth the Cost
The handwarmers do a good job of keeping my hands warm, but there were loose threads on the thumb of one, and a hole in the thumb of the other. Rather than return them, I darned them myself and am still able to use them. However, even though I fixed the problem, I am disappointed in the poor quality of the product. I don’t know if the rest of the Smartwool product line is as shoddy as their handwarmers, but I am not willing to spend the money to find out. These were not worth what I paid for them.
great for indoor cold spaces
Overall good hand warmers. I use these when I'm in my car typing on my computer for school work during the colder months when I drive out of the city to a park. I use them when I'm running sometimes in the cold and they allow for my hands to stay wicked warm. Obviously if you want full coverage warmth for being outside, I would invest in a pair of gloves that are not fingerless. I don't see a problem with the build quality for what I've used them for. Some of the strand might fray at certain points but they're not actually coming apart or undone. Some knitted items look like this. They're not gonna be perfect.
Loose Threads
I had a loose thread on one of my mittens which was creating a large hole around the thumb area. I ended up returning these. I didn’t feel like they were going to last very long.
Homely gloves
Love gloves except for hole that quickly developed between thumb and finger
not very warm
These are super cute, but are not as warm as I expected. They are very thin and let a lot of cold air in through the top. They retain no heat.
