The shoes were great to begin with however after only a couple of months of walking 8km - 10km, 5 days a week they fell apart. Toe holes and rips in in the sides and I had even ordered a half size larger based off other buyers feedback. I have worn adidas for many years and this is the first time a shoe has really disappointed me for the money I spent on it.
I purchased a pair midsummer due to their bargain price and I heavily use them ,ever since. Their Bauhaus style ties with the simplicity of the materials used and the clumsy back appearance is something you forget when you start running. The outsole is non slippery ,the midsole looks hard but it’s not and the insole is non existent. There is a gap on midsole just after the toe box (to help the rocker design) and there rests my bunion ,thus making them (surprisingly) one of the few bunionfriendly shoes. The fit is like a Recaro sport car seat. The feel is so secure that you can concentrate to your route trusting them to fly you. They get their final shape after ~20klm. I would expect a trail edition soon. In every day life you stand high ,you don’t drive car easily and you are very comfortable standing long hours. They look good with earthly toned trousers.
These are basically Adidas ' s version of all the foam trainers that are popular right now... Adidas out classes them all. Just bought my second pair. There's nothing not to love about these from fit to support to fashion.
These shoes are very comfortable, but they began to fray after 2 weeks of wearing. I don't play sports in them, just everyday wear. Perhaps I came across defective ones or the quality control has deteriorated greatly.
I really like this as a running shoe, but I understand why other people wouldn't. It's exclusively an easy day shoe — tough to even do strides in, but it does easy days pretty well. It's a very firm but cushioned shoe — I don't enjoy the feeling of a sinking cushy shoe, so I actually really like it. I've heard bad things about the super firm heel, but as a forefoot dominant runner, I actually get a pretty nice ride from the rest of the setup, and benefit from the firm heel on downhills. It is quite heavy, and when your legs are already dead, it can sometimes add to that feeling. That's a good reminder to keep this shoe in the super easy zone.
After 9 month of just "normal" use (walking and light jogging on the treadmill), the material has split from the lining.
When I first looked at the Adistar I thought it would be a max cushion style of shoe. I saw various reviews and read a couple of articles about it and it was described as a slow, easy day shoe with potential for long run use. In action it has a very hard sole. Certainly not unusual and actually very comfortable. However if you are after max cushion, super squishy then this is not the shoe for you. It is enjoyable to run in, it gives plenty of support and does protect the feet however it is very hard. The heel material especially. I wouldn’t use this as a daily trainer but it has entered my shoe rotation and I will be cruising along in it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] love these shoes. they fit pretty well. i am anywhere between a 12 and 13 in adidas shoes, depending on the style. i kept these in a 12.5, which is pretty much a one-to-one fit. maybe i should have gone for the 13 but i tried it out at home for a couple of days and wasnt convinced, because they were a little wider at that size than i thought i needed. in retrospect, i should have probably kept them (13). either way, these shoes are very comfortable (12), and look great. i am still super pleased. for reference, i am 5'11" and weigh about 270. chest is 52, and waist is 40. belly is probably 56... lol... anyhow... very nice shoes.
I saw alot of review on Youtube hoping someone would convince me 100% to buy these. None of them did so i just went and ahead and bought them. The common thing i kept seeing was that the midsole was too stiff and not as comfortable as adidas other shoes. This being my first running shoe i can assure you these are a great pair of shoes (this is coming from an overweight man with wide flat feet. Ive ran about 20 miles in them and i have no complaints about the comfort what so ever. Considering the youtube videos these might not be for everyone but ive enjoyed them alot more than some other brand name shoes. These are worth the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought initially on the way the show looked. Surprised it was a running shoe as it looked chunky and more in the ozweego fashion line. Was interested in the new foam they've introduced. Upon receiving I found a little form underneath but wore them out and softened them. After watching some YouTube reviews found out they are for slower runs which makes sense as they are very well cushioned all over. Happy with the green accented colour I chose. Materials are nice. Maybe a touch on the expensive side but with a code they're not to bad.
