I have a few pair of these hipsters maybe from a year or 2 ago and loved them. Bought a new pair and it completely ripped apart in the initial wash.
If I had unlimited funds, I would buy these 20 at a time. They feel like I’m wearing nothing. They don’t give me horrible panty lines. These are great for hot and humid weather. I’ve worn them for 2-3 days while hiking and not bad odor and I still felt clean. I’ve even worn them with their matching REI bralette to swim in and they dried by the time I had to get dressed and back on my bike. I’m 5’6 and 120 lbs with an athletic build (bubble butt). They don’t slide around on me. The only pair I’ve had to throw away so far lasted about 2 years. I would recommend hand washing and air drying to extend their lifespan.
This cut fits (me) a bit better than the bikini equivalent, but have the same problem: they move around a *lot*. If they didn't move, they'd be heaven. They feel like wearing absolutely nothing... until they start shifting around (which happens almost immediately). They're definitely not for the curvier/bigger butt people, because that seems to be the area of highest movement.
Okay, honestly if your butt is bigger than your lower abdomen than the fit will result in a perpetual wedgie. I measured as directed and ordered according to size chart and I have extra material in the front but not in the back. It’s really aggravating.
Sizing was accurate but they will roll down on you right away. I bought these for working out but they didn't stay up through the workday while I was not very active. They are super soft that is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. At this price point even on sale they are not worth it for polyester undies. Also I recognized that they hold onto odor much more than other more breathable fabrics.
I wore these on two thru hikes so far (PCT '20 and AZT '21) and plan on wearing them for an upcoming CDT thru hike in 2024. These are lightweight, soft, super comfortable, quick drying, and surprisingly durable. The two pairs I took on the PCT lasted over 1500 miles before needing to be replaced and I still use the ones I took on the AZT. Bonus: they don't hold smells!
These are soft, thin and barely leave a panty line with tight clothes. They stay up with skirts and loose pants, and are super comfy. I've had a couple of pair for 2+ years that I wear weekly, bought a new pair, and can't tell which are the old and which are the new. They just don't wear out! I've been checking back frequently to try to order several more in L, but they are rarely in stock.
These have the same style name (active hipster) as a name brand that I love but are much less expensive so I thought I would give them a try. The fabric is nice, but they run SO small! Tiny overall. I don't think I will try another size since they also sit very, very low. Not at all like the other brand.
Very comfortable, especially in hot weather. Stay put for active sports. Breathable. Medium hipster fits my 5’2” 120# body. I have melted a few o er the years in too warm a dryer.
These were very comfortable, but fell apart after a month of wearing.
