I enjoy most aspects of this shoe- fit (shoe last) is fantastic for me, I don't find them overly narrow even thought I have a wide forefoot, holding up OK, grip is good (not great like my 5.10 soles). BUT, as another has noted re: the TX4's, the heel and sole are narrow and so lead to some very nasty ankle rolling on boulders. I usually have no problem with ankle rolling, but these shoes caused a multi-month injury.
I bought the La Sportiva Men's Boulder X Approach Shoes in the store on sale. I did not even know that they were labeled as male until I was at home. I tried them on in the store, so I knew they fit. In the meantime, I have tested them on several hikes and I really like how they fit my narrow feet. I can tighten them well and the fit is excellent. At this time, I have not been on all-day hikes or very rocky terrain. I would recommend them for casual hiking and walking.
