Sturdy
I really like these packing cubes so far. They’ve got a sturdy body and unzip enough to fully open, making them easy to pack. I was cautioned by an REI employee not to rely too heavily on the compression factor, lest I break a zipper, but so far I haven’t found that to be the case. The compression does take down the bulk quite a bit in a way that’s easier than my tried-and-true “wrestle the zipper until it closes, contents be damned” method for my Travelon cubes (also a great product!), and I haven’t really been concerned with the zipper going. I travel 50 weeks a year, so they’ll see some hard wear.
Its all about the cubes.
Ive been a user of REI's packing cubes for years. Went in looking for a couple more but they must've have discontinued them or were out of stock. I splurged and bought these knowing the quality of the brand. While a more expensive option, it is a significant step up in quality compared to the REI brand. The product is bluesign(eco-friendly), is a stiffer material and the zippers are robust. The compression design zips your contents in pretty snug. More so than others cubes, which saves you space. the material is a bit transparent so if that is a concern, it is something to think about.
Thule Cube Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this 2 piece cube set from Thule The first thing you will notice about these are how well made they are very good material and the stitching is very tight no loose seams. They will work very well for my smaller stuff when traveling in suit cases Very nice items Thank you Thule
Absolute game-changer
I purchased these for an upcoming long trip and I'm not sure I can ever go back to my sad, compression packing cube-less prior life. I was able to fit a full month's worth of clothes in these (both formal business clothes and casual sightseeing clothes), and the compression zipper system works so well. By compressing everything, not only do you save space in your bag, but you also stop your clothes from sliding around and getting wrinkled. They're not exactly the cheapest, but if you aren't on an absolute shoestring budget I highly recommend the splurge!
Good quality, not light weight
I recently purchased this Thule compression cube set as a backpack travel essential, and it has proven to be an excellent choice in terms of its capacity to accommodate my clothing needs. The craftsmanship is undoubtedly of high quality. I awarded it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, with my only desire being that it could be more lightweight. I also own a compression cube set from a leading brand, known for its exceptional quality, which stands out due to its remarkable durability and the fact that it weighs nearly half as much as the Thule set.
Holds more than expected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time owning Thule compression cubes. They seemed fairly small but I was surprised at how much I was able to stuff into these things. They are handy if you are an organized packer. (Which is why my wife likes them.) But I really use them to separate our used/dirty clothes as we go along on our trips. When empty they fold up thin and weigh nothing. They seem fairly durable and have good stitching and good zippers.
Zips Smooth & Compresses Like a Champ
On a recent month long trip in Europe, I had 2 different brands of packing cubes, Thule and a less expensive version from a huge online retailer. The zippers on the Thule cubes were far superior and very smooth to ease around the corners. Compression was also much better. While more expensive than other similar products, the ease of use and superior outcome has me sold.
Durable & double zipper for compression!
These packing cubes are fantastic! They converted me from a person who was strongly against packing cubes to someone who loved these so much that I just bought a second set. The ones I had tried before these were not strong enough to actually pack down. They either weren't made for that or the zippers were too weak. I could always pack more efficiently without them. These Thule cubes don't have that problem. I have no idea what I decided to try these while packing for a SE Asia backpacking trip, but I'm glad I did! They helped me keep all my things organized in just 1 open backpack with no compartments. I have these in white and the slightly see through material is super helpful because I can be reminded which cube is holding what. My one recommendation to Thule would be to add other size variations.
High quality but not worth the price
These are really nice, high quality packing cubes, however I do not feel they provide a sufficient enough compression to be worth the price. I was able to gain maybe an inch or so of space, but because they are soft I found the contents just pushing against the top. I don't feel they save you enough space to be worth the mark up in price whatsoever.
Incredible
Don't know how I lived without these, when they say compression they mean it. You can get these suckers really dense where they are hilariously heavy given how small they are. Only odd thing is that depending on how much you cram in there and how long you're traveling, your clothes WILL get wrinkles, like deep deep wrinkles
