Excellent Craftsmanship, Made in USA
I love Revelate's products and have for a long time. This particular bag does not disappoint - top quality build and really cool style. I have multicam bags all over my bike from Oveja Negra, and this Revelate fabric matches close enough. Positives: Great compact size, but fits my tube/patch kit/tools Negatives: $$$ I would mention here for those of you looking - there's not a real good description of what 'bent' indicates, but essentially when you buy the 'bent' version you get a slanted back edge to accommodate a frame gusset like you see on some Surly bikes (and many others). I put this on my Fargo, which does not have this brace, so I have a tiny bit of buyer's remorse over that. But it appears REI only offers the 'bent' version at this time, and I wanted to use my dividend. Thought it might be useful info to explain what that means...
Outstanding and perfectly sized seat post bag
I just love this top tube seat post bag. This is the second one I purchased, for a second bike. It has plenty of room for storage, yet isn’t too large or bulky. It does not interfere when I’m standing over my bike. I can unzip the bag and reach in for a block on the go. I would highly recommend this bag and have several girlfriends that have purchased it as well.
Compact and versatile.
Great little bag. Thought it may have been a lil bigger, but works well for keys and wallet. Phone doesn’t fit unfortunately (iPhone 11 pro). Repurposed it to fit on my downhill for tools, tube and keys. Works great for minor storage. Looks good on the bike and if mounted right, easy to get in and out of.
Favorite Bike Bag
I put this bag on my top tube and it fits great. Makes it easy to retrieve items during my ride. It doesn't slide around and holds snacks, pepper spray, bandanna, and keys easily.
Not good for technical riding, but otherwise ok.
I bought this for a bike-packing trip, but also hoping I could use it for shorter local rides where I didn't want to take a Camelbak. After several uses now, my take is, it's only good for bike-packing, and not great if that involves technical riding where you are moving around more on the bike, as your knees/legs will hit it and knock it side to side. Also, I can't fit my mini-pump, or my phone (iPhone 8+) in it, so it hasn't been useful for what I wanted it for when not bike-packing (their Mag-Tank has worked better for this). So, I'd only buy this if you need that much more carrying capacity for bike-packing.
Best piece ever!
I purchased this at the garage sale to use as a top tube feed bag. Works great! I use it on every bike, so it’s seen thousands of miles. It’s not for storing your keys phone wallet minipump spare tube or other nonsense. It does hold a big bag of chews and a couple gels. Having my food convenient keeps me eating throughout the day. No more bonking. The best part is the narrow profile does not interfere with my knees while climbing. It’s totally aero too. It stays in position well. I use it on road and gravel bikes and rides. For bikepacking it is a touch small.
Perfect size bag for tube & tools
This bag was perfect for holding tools and a tube during a cross country bike ride. The only problem was ocasional rubbing on the inside of my thighs. If you ride with your knees close to the top tube there is a good chance this bag will rub your thighs.
Great Product!
I purchased this product for carrying some tools on my Surly Ogre and it fits perfectly! It holds everything I need it to and once you trim the straps to fit I've never had any rubbing issues.
Aero and small at a great price
Nice and small. Perfect for aero race day nutrition. Waterproof (even the zipper) and great price. Only downside is that had to trim the excess top tube velcro. No biggie
Excellent Product
I bought this to store a few tools on my mountain bike. The angled back works perfectly on my Santa Cruz Hightower. I've had it on about a dozen rides in the last 2 months. It gets thoroughly abused, invariably getting kicked at least a few times a ride. I've brought it back completely covered in mud from many of the rides in pouring rain. I just hose it off. It's never had a drop of water inside and it still looks new. Sure, it's way overpriced, but I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Just wish they had more mtn bike products.
