Great Sunglasses, NOT Comfortable With a Helmet
I love everything about these sunglasses, but do not get them if you plan on wearing them while cycling. They are not advertised as cycling glasses, so I will still give them 5 stars. The photochromic lenses are awesome. There are 2 main problems with the arms of these sunglasses that make them extremely uncomfortable to wear with a helmet: 1. The arms have a triangular cross-section profile. The arms are thick and stick out far from your head. If you have an MTB style helmet, it means they will not fit in the gap between your helmet and your head. 2. The arms are quite long and straight, meaning they extend past the tops of your ears without curving downward. If you have a road style helmet, the ends of the arms will make contact with the edge of your helmet and push them off your face.
Really for BIG Heads
I've only worn these glasses a few times. My old ones, also Tifosi, were slipping down with sweat. But I've had them forever so hard to complain. And which is why I got another pair of Tifosi. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit. After wearing glasses I had to squeeze onto my big head, these actually slide on, and at first they seemed too big. But I'm realizing that is the way glasses are supposed to fit, and still stay positioned. The view is great and my wife said i look like the riders from the tour with the reflective front of the lens. Hope they last as long as my prior pair.
No Regrets
These are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. Their adjustment to sunlight is great. With no frames visible and full coverage, their clarity, weight and fit are such that I often forget I have them on. On my last ride I almost turned around a half mile down the road thinking I had forgotten them.
Terrific all-around glasses
I ordered the Rail with Fototec lens. With a lens this big, I felt a bright lens like the Crystal Blue mirror lens would be overwhelming, whereas the more muted (and versatile) Fototec lens would make more sense. And indeed, that's proved right. When I tried them on, they felt and looked right, and on the first two rides they've been terrific. Great coverage and clarity, while feeling so light and comfortable that I hardly noticed it was on. Fits well under both my helmets. This will probably be my main pair for road and gravel riding during most of the year in the Pacific Northwest. Also purchased in the recent Tifosi sale their Slice with the Enliven lens, which enhances contrast - very good, too, though it doesn't cover as much. And the Tsali in Crystal Blue, for some variety.
Great running glasses
I have a pair of the photochromatic for biking. Reviews on those said they don't get super dark. Rode Ragbrai with them and thought it was good enough. Then I got these. They darken to the point where you never need to squint. I wear them running and they are perfect, don't even notice that they are on most of the time. If you have a pair of photochromatic Tifosis that you don't think get dark enough try these. You might be pleasantly surprised.
Comfortable and great airflow, good for trails
I'm a heavy sweater so I was looking for frameless glasses to avoid sweat puddles. These are as good as it gets in this regard. The photochromatic could be a bit better in terms of reactivity and maximum shade. For mountain biking or trail running it's good, but for road cycling in full sun they don't get dark enough.
perfect cycling glasses
comfortable, light, good coverage, excellent field of vision
Great for cycling
I had a pair of Tifosi Vogel sunglasses that I really liked, so I jumped on these when they went on sale. I have been curious about the photochromatic lenses and so far they have been excellent. They block wind and bugs/ Pollen from getting in my contacts in low light conditions, and they do very well in full sunlight (better than I thought they would tbh), and my blue eyes are pretty sensitive to light. I love how lightweight they are and the frameless lens is awesome.
Sunglasses for big heads
Love these things! They fit great, no pinching or tightness. Cover the whole eye socket very well.
Comfortable wrap glasses
These are very comfortable sunglasses for biking and running. They stay put on the face without feeling tight. They sit lightly on the nose without the lenses touching the cheeks. I like the three lenses and how easy they are to interchange. One draw back. I try to treat them carefully but after nine months of use I have two scratches on the dark lens. Bought a some for my son for Christmas because they are so’cool’.
