Great travel mug that fits in small cupholders
Pros: Great mug for the house or on the go. Holds heat and cold drinks for long durations. Has a nice texture feel around the bottle and slim enough to fit in my cars small cupholders. When drinking it has a nice flow that is controllable depending on the angle/pitch. It has a deep spout so coffee (or other liquids) won't splash out. It has a nice metal hook that can clip onto a bag pack. Super easy to clean compared to other travel mugs where the mouthpiece consists of multiple pieces. Kleen Kanteen has been making stainless steel products for a very long time compared to other vendors. The metal base adds a nice touch while increasing durability. Cons: To open and close the mouthpiece spout requires a good amount of force when turning, I wish it had a satisfying "click" when opening and closing.
Great rugged and expensive feeling mug
Nothing to dislike with this mug. It’s just the right size that it fits great in your hand, car, and dishwasher. I love the finish as it’s a matte black with just a little bit of roughness. It feels expensive and doesn’t get slippery when wet. The drinking spout is easy to use and locks into place ensuring it doesn’t spill. I like the pop up handle that allows you to carry it or hook it up to a carabiner. Liquids inside retain their flavor and the mug cleans easily in the dishwasher. Highly recommend if you are looking for a high end and rugged travel mug.
New favorite, the upgraded cap makes is awesome
I have been using Klean Kanteen bottles daily at work for at least a decade, and this one is my new favorite for sure. I'm a coffee drinker, like it hot and like taking my time with it, it stays hot the whole day ! I'm seeing people complaining about the cap leaking, mine does not leak at all unlike my old one, and with a quarter turn it opens and closes very quickly. I am also using a Yeti bottle, while the Yeti is great to drink larger volumes like water, a thick shake or a soup due to it's larger opening, the Klean Kanteen is the best for coffee or tea as the cap is easier, faster to use and has a slower volume output so you don't burn yourself with a hot beverage. I like the new paint too, the paint of my old cup had started peeling, this one looks more rugged and has some texture to it, time will tell.

Great for the morning commute, afternoon refresh, and poolside party. Keeps beverages hot for hours and cold just as long. Holds up as it gets banged about on the job. Sleek design. My new favorite canteen.
High quality, dishwasher safe travel mug
After a couple weeks of daily use, I'm generally very happy with this travel mug. It looks great, has an impressive build quality, and feels great in the hand. I've used it both for hot and cold drinks, and it does a great job of maintaining temperatures. Make sure your drink isn't too hot to drink when you put it in -- because it will stay that way for a long time. The inside of the mug has bumpy grooves on it, and the cap/lid seals very tight and secure. My favorite feature of this mug is that the whole thing is dishwasher safe: both the mug and the cap. The cap comes apart into 4 pieces (see my photo); it looks a little tricky at first, but, after a couple times, assembly/disassembly becomes quick and obvious. The instructions specify the cap should only go in the top rack. I'm giving this mug only 4 stars because I've noticed two cons. First, it's a little heavier than I would have expected -- I measured it at about 14 ounces. That's not a big deal for day-to-day use, but I personally wouldn't take it hiking. Second, I find the shape/depth of the cafe cap awkward. The shape works best when slowly sipping a hot drink from the lip of the cap. However, I seem to regularly smash my nose into the cap before readjusting my drinking position.
Absolutely the best for travel
I've been using it for over 6-months now. I've owned other KK products, but this is by far my favorite. I've taken it to camping, but it gets used mostly for every day tea and travel between work and play. I have also dropped it a number of times, and even though I've dinged the exterior layer, it still works. I drink a lot of loose tea, so, the ability for the canister to eliminate most of the tea leaves from entering my cup or mouth is tremendous. I've also been able to fit this into my motorcycle travels, into my side bag for long rides without the tea from dripping. A+. Helped that I also bought it with REI membership discount.
Heavy but amazing
First off let me say I would have given this product 5 stars but the weight is on the heavy side for what it is. When my beverage is empty it still feels full. That out of the way this travel cup is fantastic. It keeps my coffee hot for hours. I use it for my back up coffee. I love that the lid can be disassembled for cleaning and put back together. Another amazing product in the Klean Kanteen family.
Solid Insulated Travel Mug
It's a great insulated mug for both hot and hold. It's been getting a lot if use keeping my coffee warm on the drive to work. No problem with it fitting in my cup holders. My daughter has also been using it to store popsicles and throwing it in the pool bag. I like the stainless steel D-Ring built into the lid. You can use it to hang from anything or clip onto a pack with a carabiner.
Really wanted to love it!
It LEAKS! The build quality is nice, it's a good size, kept coffee hot for a good while, loved the features. But it leaks from the lid if it gets shook around, or laid on it's side. I tried disassembly and reassembly of the lid multiple times, checked the seals........ it still leaked unfortunately, because I really liked it.
Too hard to open
My husband and I used this mug for approximately 2 years and for those 2 years had issues with the lid being impossible to unscrew. If my husband tightened the lids in the morning then I would not be able to unscrew them. And if I did it then there was a chance it would leak. I used the old style cafe top/mug for probably close to 8 years before upgrading to this new style. And while I loved th mugs for other reasons we just recent had to switch to another brand as the too tight lid just want going to work any longer. And I’d agree with other reviews stating it is a heavier mug that appears bigger for only holding 16oz of liquid. And because it is an internal thread you have to be careful not to overfill or it will leak.
