Quality product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These seem like a great deal , I no longer have an suv or truck and can no longer put them in or anything but from what I’ve seen in the box they are great and durable. Very compatible and great for road tripping and luggage. Amazing quality.

Versatility
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Come with instructions and tool so it makes the installation easy. This versatile design makes it fit to almost every vehicle, especially mine, RX 350 2014.

Check mounting EVERYTIME you go somewhere.
Over time the pedestals can creep outward on the crossbar they are supposed to be supporting. This happens because the so-called "torque" wrench supplied with them does not tighten the crossbar clamp sufficiently. You're better off using a standard 5/32" Allen wrench and making sure to really tighten the clamp on the crossbar. Once the pedestals more outward on the crossbar, they are no longer securely clamped to your car. Tightening the crossbar clamp in place on the car is virtually impossible, you really need to take the whole system off the car to reach the clamp screws.
Okay
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Yakima timberline towers are a good choice for someone looking to enhance carrying capacity for their vehicle. The towers are sturdy and installation isn’t too hard but I did have to follow a YouTube video. Please note that you must purchase the right kind of towers for your vehicle and the bar adapters too. I hear that people have issues with the towers stripping over use but so far so good.

Faulty product
Complete garbage, catastrophic failure after the first trip. Inferior product, cutting corners to save money. Avoid Yakima, too expensive to chance. Could very well end up with a major liability and lawsuit, luckily our rack was empty when it failed and did not cause an accident.
Optional roof mount
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of these mounts is excellent I would say even very good. Silent fastening does not let things slip in different directions. Stable in every sense of the word. I would add that it is compatible with our mounts.

the best yakima product yet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the durability and stability of this quality product surprised me i tried to even compare the compatibility to other products of the same line and installation was easy.

Not so convenient.
A pop off cover, a specialized tool and two adjustment screws for each clip, sort of a pain to put on and take off. This is my third set of roof racks an by far the least convenient to use. That said, once on, they work fine. (If your bars make wind noise, try wrapping electric cord around them. It stops the sound by disrupting the air flow.)
Yakima baseline towers
Toll that comes with is very cheap and the covers of the towers are too. Instructions say to screw it down till it clicks, not sure if that means the tool needs to click or the nut on the tower but I went ill the tool wouldn’t budge
