Too many holes
these are super comfy and feel amazing, but they don't last longer than 4-5 months. I bought 3 pairs so I had plenty of rotation on each pair, but too many holes. I still have a pair of smart wool socks from 8 or 9 years ago, but dang undies don't last.

Smart but weak

I would only enjoy these on backpacking trips and other hikes. Never did I wear them on non hiking days. To put things in perspective I wear my Costco underwear 95% of my life, these the other 5%. After two years they have ripped on the bottom wear the choad is. I’m not overweight and would say a generally clean person. The wear and tear was so bad I had to throw them away. I have the same Costco underwear for ten years that have lasted and are better built then these. They were comfy though when used. 2 stars for horrible durability, especially something made for the back country.

Take them everywhere

5'10 170lbs, I like the Large. My second pair, because these are my goto for any backpacking trip or longer climbing or hiking day. Comfortable, don't smell, and my first pair has held up remarkably well through washing compared to other wool products. I wouldn't expect them to dry extremely fast, but that's just a property of wool vs synthetic. In most other ways, I prefer these to any other briefs.

The best active boxers I've worn

Switching from Meundies to these was like night and day. I have worn these for 3 days hanging them overnight and each morning I was impressed that they didn't smell like balls. Super comfortable and semi like they'll last forever with air drying them after washing

No durability

Didnt even make it onto the trails with these before they developed a hole on the inner thigh, in the region of the "chub rub". The material was quite comfortable, but the waist band was lacking in comfort. I don't plan on purchasing again.

Smartwool Intelligent choice

Extremely comfortable, cool and soft. Naturally wicks moisture and stays dry. Very durable material. Merino wool is the choice for durability and comfort for all walks of life and activities. Very satisfied.

Breathes better than synthetic

An unexpected use for wool--but well done, breathes better than synthetic. Added to my hiking outfit.

comfy!

highly recommended. very comfy! thinner than expected but in a good way. better than cotton. better breathability than technical/poly briefs. don't expect compression style though, just enough stretch to keep them snug. waistband stays flat too. we'll see how they hold up through wash cycles, but I expect the nylon to give them the resiliency to not get floppy..
