Amazing comfort with a large load
I have the 112 liter pack and have only used it once because at 5’4” it’s too big for me so I downsized to the 70 liter. Since it’s the middle of the winter in NY I have portaged with it yet but I have filled it with my intended gear and walked around with it. The harness is great because it adjust from 21 down to 17 torso length. It’s not a stiff material like some other brands, and it has ample room for a multi day trip or I can roll it down for a shorter one. I can also carry a smaller dry pack on the front of me with my canoe on my shoulders if I don’t want to make multiple trips. It’s definitely a quality product that I will use for many years to come.
Best all around dry pack
I recently purchased a Sealline Pro Dry Pack 70L for an extended float trip and canoe tripping. It performed well in the canoe. It always kept my gear dry even when dropped into the river. The impressive thing about this pack is the comfort using it as a backpack. I have backpacked plenty in my life with many different packs. This summer I used this as my primary backpacking pack(my good one was loaned out). After 100+ miles of backpacking with this pack I was impressed. It was every bit as comfortable as any backpack I have used. The ventilation on my back was great. I never had any rubbing or chafing from this pack. This is a great pack for canoe tripping with portages. I will be getting another one soon.
A great solution for big trips.
This drybag has held up well and holds quite a bit of gear. The primary use is to pack loads of gear and equipment into an off-the-grid cabin and to hot tents which are difficult to access due to heavy winter snows. The added suspension is nice when packing and very helpful when securing it down to a towable polk sled or snow machine. It's pretty stiff and you loose some interior volume to get it closed well. Become familiar with the system before packing up and you'll be set.
DEFINITELY BUY THIS BAG
THIS IS THE SECOND SEALLINE BAG THAT I HAVE OWNED. THE FIRST ONE IS FINELY DEAD AFTER TEN YEARS OF ABUSE, THE STRAPS JUST COULDN'T HOLD ANYMORE, BREAKING AT THE STITCHES TIED BACK TOGETHER AND USED FOR ANOTHER TWO YEARS. I LOVE THE COMFORT OF THE NEW BACKPACK. IT GETS HEAVILY USED IN MY TRAVELS IN AND OUT OF CAMP. I PUT IT TO USE EVERY WEEKEND OF HUNTING SEASON THIS YEAR, OVER PACKED AND OVER WEIGHTED WITH GEAR STRAPPED TO THE OUTSIDE. IT WAS BY FAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE PORTAGE I HAVE HAD INTO HUNTING CAMP. I WILL NEVER BUY A DIFFERENT BAG (SORRY TO SAY BUT HOPEFULLY I WONT HAVE TO FOR A LONG TIME) THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS; IF THE BAG IS ONLY FILLED HALF WAY WITH RELY HEAVY GEAR. THE WEIGHT IS TOO LOW ON YOUR BODY AND IT PULLS ON YOUR SHOULDERS. WHEN IT IS PACKED RIGHT AND THE WEIGHT IS HIGH IT IS THE BEST BAG ON THE MARKET. THANK YOU
Great canoe pack
I bought this bag primarily to use on canoe expeditions. For longer portages, the harness system is extremely comfortable and better than other packs I have used. The pack has been used in all sorts of conditions and it has been very waterproof and I never worry about the contents of my bag getting wet. So far after a busy season and many trips, the bag has proven bombproof and I would buy it again if I ever need a bag like this.
Workhorse Pack
Living on a sailboat this pack gets used and abused. It spends most of it's time taking a beating bouncing around in the dinghy on grocery runs. It's survived at least 5 trips through the Southwest Airlines torture treatment and still keeps everything nice and dry. You get what you pay for, this bag was a great investment.
The material seems to have
The material seems to have changed to a lighter weight (on the pro). Have to see how that is from a durability standpoint. The hip belt, shoulder straps, and back venting is better than ever! Nice work! Wasn’t the first choice colour (orange) but high vis is always good in the bush. Thanks for the great product
Super comfortable dry pack
SealLine knocked it out of the park with this pack! The shoulder straps and hip belt are very well made and comfortable. As with previous versions, I appreciate the durability of the bottom panel. No complaints, get it!
Love the color - would
Love the color - would have actually like it to be more around the 50 - 60 liter mark as it's just slightly bigger than what I would have liked but you don't make that size in this particular product line.
Just what I thought it was.
This is exactly what I expected. the material is thick and durable without being to stiff. I expect it to last many backcountry trips in the rough granite terrain of the Boundary Waters.
