[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second spatula from Sea to Summit I have purchased, the first being over five years ago. That original one is still going strong but I keep it in another kit while this one is going into my Kelty Camp Kitchen setup for car camping. *I hate having to rob one gear setup whenever I use another* These spatulas last a LONG time as long as you take care of them and don't overheat or they'll do a bit of melting on the leading edge. But, it's not made to last forever and does its job wonderfully! Folds up small and very light. I purchased the accompanying spoon/ladel to go with it and can't wait to use it this weekend when I cook roast in my new 64oz camp pot. Thanks.
I gave up on folding/camp utensils years ago. They were always too big, bulky, or just flimsy. I like Sea to Summit gear so I decided to give this a try. I made pancakes tonight to test this thing out. The mechanism they have developed to bridge the fold and make the utensil usable makes this the most solid spatula I have ever seen. i couldn't tell I was using a camping tool AT ALL. Additionally, this thing folds down extremely flat, more flat than I thought it would be. As I get ready for a year long bicycle tour, I am very glad this is in my pack. I just wish I'd bought the spoon too.
Sturdy, lightweight and compact spatula for your camp kitchen or backpacking trip. We toss this in to use with our jetboil skillet when in the backcountry and want to splurge making something a little more than a freeze dried meal.
Really sturdy design when locked. Handle folds up nicely when unlocked and can also be completely removed for storage. Overall 10/10.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the msr nylon cooking utensils for 15 years and thought it was time to work in some new equipment. I brought it along for an overnight paddling trip to make scrambled eggs. The spatula works fine. The only down side is it doesn’t hold tight in its extended position when in use. There’s a lot of give and bend as you use it. My concern is the locking mechanism will snap before long.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spatula is very cute. It's lightweight and packs on my bike well. Always a crowd favorite when I whip it out for breakfast!
Great little kitchen tool. Works well when extended and locked in. Not flimsy. Collapses easily and can fit anywhere.
Wanted a spatula that would pack down small and this is it. Works well with an 8" pan
