[Pro]: These shoes are impressively lightweight, incredibly comfortable, and offer fantastic support for running. [Con]: Unfortunately, my experience with these shoes has been quite disappointing. I purchased them just 4 months ago and have been using them only twice a week. However, I've encountered a major issue with the midsole (bottom cushion) which has completely collapsed. The rubber has become partially flattened, rendering the shoes unsuitable for running or walking. Additionally, they now make an annoying squeaky noise due to the uneven surface at the midsole. I own four pairs of On shoes, and while I adore their comfort, it's disheartening to note that all of them have experienced some form of quality issue with just regular use. Regrettably, despite my affinity for the brand's comfort, I've reached a point where I can no longer overlook these recurring quality problems. It's unfortunate to conclude that this brand falls short in terms of quality. On a positive note, I must commend REI for their exceptional return policy and commitment to customer satisfaction, which has allowed me to address this disappointing experience by returning what feels like a "lemon" of a product.
Bought this almost a year and shoes were really comfortable right out the box. upper is made of really good materials. Shoe does gives you the bounce on the runs. For the bad side but i a little disappointed with the durability of these. I run + walk in these those shoes and do ~ 10 miles a week, so i have done around 400+ miles in these shoes and i can see good amount of wear on the outer sole. I was expecting more from a $180 shoes. my last shoe was brooks gts which lasted little longer these.
These shoes are the most padded shoes I've bought so far from On running. They are also very lightweight and comfortable. However, after 2 months of usage, they have started to tear at the seams. Not sure how long they have lasted for other customers.
I’m recently retired and started walking 3-4 times a week on our neighborhood trail. My son recommended these shoes since I was having discomfort on the balls of my feet. They did the trick and no more issues with foot pain but after only a few months they started to tear and the soles are showing severe wear.
Very very good . It’s to safe and great one for running and walking I love it 🥰
I love this shoe and how it helps me being a disabled veteran. It’s great for my hips and knees. I’m giving it a two star because the sole it the tip of the toe box is already peeling. I’ve had these shoes for three months and all I do is walk three miles a couple times a week. I don’t run or wear them for casual purposes.
I have had these shoes for about one month, using only for walking while on vacation in Asia. The shoes are falling apart near the toe and is comfortable but low quality. Pass on these.
The On Cloudmaster is not for people with heel pain or plantar fasciitis. The insole is thin and provides little cushion and the welt of the shoe is rock hard, so while the impressive cushioning on the sole provides relief for the knees, there is little to no comfort for persons with heel pain. Be prepared to purchase a cushioned aftermarket insole and drill holes in the welt, as shown in the attached image.
Oncloud shoes are super fashionable but very poor quality, not really made to be used for its intended purpose, the seams come apart easily
Overall, this is a great shoe. It has a ton of cushion but is also very lightweight. It's a versatile shoe that can be used for slower long runs or faster tempo runs. It can be a good option for the marathon distance if you don't want to pay exorbitant "super shoe" prices. My only complaint is the shoe loses its plush, cushioned feel at about 200 miles. I'm at 235 miles now, and the shoes are almost done. Given the premium price, I wish they lasted longer.
