True to size, loose fit style
Like the breezy look, hoping it keeps me cool in desert heat but I can’t speak for that yet because I have to exchange sizes. I would size down for water sports as this would bunch up when wet. This is not form fitting, it’s loose and baggy on a slim/athletic build, so good for layering. If you’re curvy or have built shoulders you’ll like the room. True to size as a loose fit, so do not go up a size as others suggested. Some reviews claimed it ran small, and I like room in the shoulders, so I sized up. The shoulders are extremely wide with arms about and inch too long, swims on me, but according to the dimensions listed it should fit.
Got a sunburn through the shirt
Was super excited to use this as a way to keep the sun off my skin and keep cool in intense sun but I got a burn on my arms through the shirt after hiking for 11 hours. The UV only got up to a 7 as it’s May so I can’t imagine this would work very well in full summer sun. Loose fit though, I like the way it works and it’s very comfy and dries super quick! Good lightweight shirt, not great for sun.
No sunburn after 5 hours in direct sun
Kept me burn free on a 5-hour exposed hike during a PNW heat wave. Dumped water on it periodically which was lovely when a breeze came along. The arms are long enough to comfortably use the thumb holes to protect the top of my hands and I love the mint green color. I usually like XL in women's tops (I like my tops loose, similar to the fit in these stock photos) and L was perfect.
must-have for this apocalyptic heat
With temps in Phoenix being >110*F for what feels like forever now, I have started to feel the burn :’) I ordered this shirt to reduce exposure daily and it’s been so awesome. It’s very lightweight and comfy, with a flattering fit. The hood is oversized and I like that it covers the top of my head and shades my face a bit. I have chronic medical conditions that are flaring up from the UV/heat and this shirt has been a lifesaver!!! I’ll get to test it on trail in about a week.
Great sun shirt for any sport!
Great product for the price! I use these sun shirts for climbing and I love how stretchy the material is and compared to most sun shirts that I have purchased they are about $20-30 cheaper. Love the thumb holes and the hood is big enough to fit over my head while wearing a helmet. I did size down to a Medium since the fit is loose, I don’t typically like tight clothing either so I was surprised how nice the fit was.
Absolutely the best
I wore the top this morning to beat the heat and direct sunlight. Having just had a stem cell transplant at City of Hope in May I can not be in very hot or direct sunlight, Cool and breathable and so comfortable. Such a great buy.
Great swim shirt!
I was very glad to have this short with me in Cancun! Kept the sun off of me while we were snorkeling and for all those long hours on the boat. Love that is has a hood and the sleeves are actually long enough for my very long arms to still comfortably use the thumb holes! And the fit is on the loose side - for a swim shirt - so it’s very comfortable. Love it.
Great Sun Shirt
I ordered a size up and I am glad I did. It fits great and it looks good. I will definitely order a 2nd one. Packs up small and doesn't wrinkle.
Effective sun protection
I wore this in the Greek islands and found it provided effective sun protection without being too hot. The fit was true to size, but I think side slits would have made for a better fit. Color is beautiful.
Darker then expected
It’s not the light blue that the picture shows. Much darker sky blue than expected.
