Like it more than I expected
I’ve used Nalgene bottles daily for years and years, and they’ve served me well. I’ve gotten more leery of using a lot of plastic, so I picked this one up on a whim while it was on sale. I’m really happy with it. It keeps my water nice and cool whether I’m sitting at my desk or roasting in the sun watching my kids play sports. I did get a boot for it, which I’m glad I did so that it makes a softer landing. I also really like the pattern/design so that it stands apart a bit. I’m now considering getting one for my husband.
keeps cool but stinks after cleaning
I have several hydroflasks, bought from different stores throughout the years. It does keep liquid cool, but after a year or so, the lid starts to stink like mold or something. I've tried so many times to clean it, leave it in soap water, and it just doesn't get rid of the smell, which makes me think it's not getting clean at all. After one bottle down, I thought it was just a defect. But this is my third hydroflask. I no longer recommend this brand, unfortunately.
Yup - keeps water cold/hot
Trick is to put in ice AND refrigerated water and it will keep very cold for a long time. If you do ice and then tempered water, the ice will melt but the liquid will remain pretty cool. Make sure the cap is tight, I’ve gotten some water leaking when I thought the cap was on tight. I’ve left it in the dash of my car in the heat, it was actually hot to the touch and my water was still cold. Pretty awesome but super simple technology.
Awesome water bottle
I initially bought it for bouldering gym, but now carry it anywhere with me. In the gym it can be hot, but my bottle keeps water cool the whole time. I also live the size, which is perfect for training or walk around the city.
My new favorite water bottle
I love everything about this water bottle: colors, design, size, keeps my water cold.
