Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Lightweight Pants for Intense Workouts
These tights are great for workouts where you really want your pants to stay in place. I would recommend them for running, jumping rope and HIIT workouts. When doing double unders I usually always have to readjust my pants but these stayed right in place. While running, I really liked the lightweight and smooth feel. My thighs slid right past each other and didn't allow for chafing which is great. They are a bit tight around the ankle and waist. I got a small. Perhaps a medium would fit my body type better but these work too. Love the color and love the side pockets.
Great Leggings!
I first wore these for my workout class, a mix of strength training and aerial yoga and they were very comfortable. They didn’t bunch or slide around. The fit felt good. There’s reflective writing on them so I’d be comfortable wearing them on a night run if it wasn’t cold and icy these days. Plus there are pockets. It’s comfortable to carry a cellphone, a key and id, which are all required for running. What surprised me was how useful they were as a base layer when I traveled to northern Canada for a long winter weekend. I wore them under my snow pants and they kept me just warm enough for all the snow activities. These days I usually overheat with the base layer but this was just right. I’m looking forward to wearing these through the winter and then back to my running in spring.
Buttery Soft and Sturdy
These leggings have been a pleasure. The fabric is buttery soft, smooth, lightweight and very breathable all while being supportive. They are great for walking and running, the pockets are the perfect size for my phone. They are also fine for lifting weights (not opaque and don't show sweat). But my favorite feature is the fabric, it just feels so comfortable!
Great fabric and lots of pockets. Runs small.
These are great running tights with lots of “pros” and one potential "con." Pros: I love how soft and smooth fabric is and how light they feel when worn. I also love the pockets: not just on the side of the leg for things like a cell phone, but also the hidden ones around the waist, which are great for things like keys, credit cards, and money (this is particularly useful for me because running is my go-to exercise when I travel and I don’t want to carry these things in a waist pack). One potential con: these tights run a bit small. I typically wear a size L in REI Co-op branded clothes and the L fits, but more snugly than I am used to, which renders the inner drawstring on these tights kind of useless. So, if you typically wear a particular size and don’t like a snug fit, I would size up. Then, the drawstring might be more useful. Otherwise, love these tights, love the pockets, love the fabric, and love how they feel on a run!
Great in any weather!
I tested these both back home in MN snow/slush and Hawaii in the sun/rain. They are breathable but retain warmth well. They dry quickly and aren’t see-through. The pockets are good-sized and the drawstring in the waistband is a nice additional feature. Cute color and consistent sizing.
Seams rip very easily
I am 5'9, 150 lbs, usually wear a size 8 in pants, and ordered the M Tall size and they fit perfectly. I got these pants to wear trail running in hot weather on trails that have some vegetation that was scratching my legs. I was hoping to wear them on long hikes as well but don't think they'll hold up. I've only worn them three times along trails that were pretty well maintained, with short sections where I ran through some denser vegetation and the seams are shredded. I even washed the pants on gentle in a delicates bag and air dried them. Another issue with the pants (I ordered the slate blue color) is that when they get wet they change color and it is very obvious when you're sweating. After a 12 mile run, the pants were wet with sweat in the wrong areas and it was very embarrassing when I ran into other people on the trail. I had to change my pants immediately after my run before I went out for a post-workout coffee. Maybe the black would be better at disguising the sweat marks. Overall though, the pants are very comfortable for running. They stay put and don't sag or get baggy. They protected my legs from the sun and no scratches from branches. The pockets are great for your phone and gels. But for the price, the quality doesn't seem great. Even though I've worn the pants only three times, they look like they're years old.
Warm Weather Running Tights
"Strong and stretchy" as advertised. Comfortable running tights that stay put. Very good compression whereby even with the pockets holding phone and other items, they don't start to sag or move. The many pockets are a good functional feature but are well hidden. The high waist is perfectly engineered for comfort under a waist pack and for flattery in the midriff area under a thin shirt. Thin enough to wear in warm weather in lieu of having to protect legs with sunscreen. REI Co-op is a name I have come to trust for thoughtfully designed and engineered technical clothing at a better price than other big brands.
Great pockets!
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. These tights in a size small are very snug for someone with a pant size 6, but they have wonderful extra-stretchy pockets of a different weave that can hold a phone comfortably or credit cards. I wore these in chilly weather, and curiously, I found that the back of my thighs felt as if the tights were not as warm there. I can't explain how that would happen, but that is how they felt. The green color is quite appealing.
I love these pants ❤️
I live in these. I love the double, deep pockets. They are lightweight, breathable, moisture wicking and so comfortable. The fabric is my favorite compared to other brands like Spider or Lulu.. My first pair lasted 3 years before the seems wore out in the crotch area. I repaired it with hand sewing (to use when doing outside chores) and also bought a second pair to wear to work or out and about. They changed the pocket fabric to a more breathable material and I love that because my phones did build sweat in the first pair. Second pair doesnt do that.
Great for CrossFit
I have three pair of these running tights in different colors and love them all!
