Not the same material as the adult version
The material is thinner and more breathable but is a sort of textured weave that snags very easily.

One Hot Hoodie
Bought this for my son. It’s thicker weave makes it to hot on blazing hot summer days. But my son will wear it in mid 80s and likes it. Good garment just to hot for 90-100 degree weather.
Snagged and ruined within 1 hour of purchase
Daughter loved the color and insisted on wearing it out of the store. Went to the park to practice biking - put on her elbow pads and knee pads. After 20 minutes of biking, the velcro of the elbow pads had WRECKED the material of the shirt. She had worn these elbow pads while biking on many other occasions without any damage to other shirts. Gonna return it for refund.
It's okay
It's mostly a good sun shirt. It's a little thick for hot weather. My biggest complaint is the neckline/hood. It comes up really high, even when the hood is down, and it feels like it's choking me. I really don't like tight fabric or jewelry on my neck, so I was constantly pulling the neck down. I ended up cutting it off.
This was a hit
Kept the sun at bay and kept the kiddo dry and cool when hiking 2500 ft elevation gain. Not easy and this shirt made it comfortable to do so

purchased for my grandson in his favorite color to transition from a hot climate to a cooler climate. Perfect for fall!
