Comfortable and sturdy!!
I bought these booties (wetshoes) for kayaking several weeks ago and wore them recently. I am very happy with them!! I have a wide foot and often buy 8.5 to get adequate toe box width, but purchased the women size 8. With the squared off toe box they are perfect. They are comfortable overall and the sole is sturdy enough for walking on pavement and rough terrain, yet still sufficiently flexible to allow a good feel on the kayak foot pedals. When stepping out of my kayak at lakeshore after the paddle my foot sunk down, but the bootie held tight as I extricated my foot from the muck. I love these booties and highly recommend them!!
Great river shoes
I really appreciated these on a rafting trip in CO/UT last week. The water was not very cold (70ish), but I still wore these most of the time while on the river. I had my Keen sandals with me, too, but preferred these NRS booties because these collect less sand and wee rocks, protect my feet from sticks, and don't get to stinking like my Keens. Also I could keep my dry Keens for camp. We also did a few short hikes (about 1 mile each), and I just walked in these booties. The traction was good on the raft and on the ground. They did not rub sores or collect sand on the hikes. My feet are 7.5-8 wide-ish, and the 8 did well: a bit squooshy without socks, but I want to have the sock option when I'm in colder water.
True to size fit
I wear a 7-7.5 street shoe with a wide toe box (think Keens). I bought these in a 7 and they fit perfectly! I bought them for SUPing. They are great for walking around while inflating the board and launching into the water. I walked over rocks comfortably. I went down a star because the sole is so grippy that once I'm on the board I can barely move my foot on the grippy board surface. Now, keep in mind I'm trying to step around my 55 lb Goldendoodle who sets herself in position like a ship's masthead and I've always inched my bare feet around into position. When I got back ashore, I took the fin off & walked on the board on the grass without my dog, and didn't have a problem, so I'm thinking I just need to get used to them. Overall, I'm pretty happy.
Jury still out on these
I'm really mixed on these shoes. They are very comfortable, provide warmth in cold water, fit well, feel solid in terms of grip under water as well as on land. The biggest issue is that they take way too long to dry. Like at least 24 hours even in full sun. (They dry quickly-ish on the outside, but they remain wet on the inside.) They also don't drain, so they're very sloshy when leaving the water, and require taking off & pouring out (unless you don't mind sloshing). Not sure yet whether or not I'll keep them.
Great Water Shoe
I spend a couple of weeks every year at the indiana dunes where the water entry is very rocky. I have tried other water shoes and they have not made it through one entire trip so I decided to give these a try. These are amazing. They are so durable and don’t get sucked down in the sand. They are also amazingly warm. I absolutely love them. They held up beautifully and they made walking on the hot sand and stones a non issue.
Versatile!
These shoes had great traction and great support. We played in stoney rivers and hiked back on trails for several miles.
Aqua aerobics
Used for aqua aerobics, which includes kicking in the water. My wife needed shoes that go on and off easily, but only when she wanted them to come off. These fit her and serve her intended use perfectly. Plus the clerk was super helpful.
Sturdy & kept the sand out.
Excellent sturdy water shoes that do not fill with sand. Easy to put on and take off. Kept my feet warm which was a negative in Hawaii but would be great in cold water.
Water shoes
Just what I was looking for to take on an Arkansas river float. Good traction on the rocks. Feet stayed warmer in the cool water.
Wide, water shoes for wild adventures
Fabulous for paddleboarding. I have a wide foot that's a challenge to fit and they are comfortable. I assume because of the strap they would also fit a more narrow foot.
