I Tried To Make These Work

I usually get a few years and a few thousand miles out of a pair of cycling shoes, but after a year and 1500 or so miles, I'm giving up on them for anything other than stationary bike workouts. They never "broke in" and always hurt my feet after about an hour of riding. Also, the cleats drift more than any other pair of SPD shoes I've had, despite frequent adjustments. Finally, because the cleats drift, they tend to work their way too close to the treads and end up being difficult to release on multiple bikes. I had to stop quickly the other day for a car coming head-on into my lane... and ended up on the ground because I couldn't get my foot out of the pedal in time. The shoes are well-made, they look great and give ample arch support, but they just aren't comfortable for long rides and I don't trust them out on the road or trail any more.

Finally, bike shoes I did not have to return

Great fit! Lots of wiggle room for my toes. I've had problems with other bike shoes having a really shallow toe box. These shoes don't have that issue. The sole is stiff for good power transfer but they are still comfy to walk in. I like the combination of laces plus velcro. It's easy to get the perfect amount of stability and also easy to get the shoes off and on quickly. I ride mostly around the city with a lot of stops for shopping plus some longer rides on gravel or paved surface. The sizing is true to American athletic shoe sizing. Great bike shoe overall. So glad I found them.

Nice looiking shoes

They are great and well made unfortunately they are too big, I am usually 8.5 and they are too big. I have to retun them and hopefully 8 are good fit for me.

Too narrow

Sadly these are way too narrow to be comfortable, and I don’t have a wide foot. Bummer.

Great shoe. Needs better Velcro

Love these shoes. I’m on my third pair, but the reason I had to replace my last pair is because the Velcro on the strap got so worn out it kept falling off. The shoe still had plenty of life left, so that was a bummer. Besides that, a super comfortable shoe for bikepacking (and hike-a-biking!)

Comfortable but lacks full function

I never review but compelled this time. 40 yr Mtn biker. A cleat option creates too much slide on a platform pedal. No firm rubber insert as an option with purchase, if you switch between clipless and platform pedals. Also, shoelaces surprisingly low quality.

Very comfortable and good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these for spin class. The upper is flexible and breathable. I leave off the laces to better accommodate an inflexible big toe joint. The velcro strap holds them on just fine. They will be easy to rinse out and fast to dry when needed.

TRUE TO SIZE

Love the shoe. Wish I didn’t half size up. I’m a true 7 but usually find my sneakers comfortable in. 7.5. I got the 7.5 here and didn’t need it. So if you sometimes half size up, don’t think you will need to do that here.

Comfortable!

So happy I finally found cycling shoes that lace up and fit my wide and sensitive feet. Very pleased with the comfort and support these provide for cycling indoors. Highly recommended.
