My only complaint about this shoe It's the shoe sole, I have notice different height's and this is a problem because when you're running we expect the shoe worn more evenly. To be more specific in the internal heel area on the sole, the material is thin compare to the other areas. Overall are one of the best daily trainer.
Very comfortable shoe! Was looking for something that was as comfortable as my Brooks Levitate 2s and this is really close! 2 thumbs up!
I was a big fan of the Ride ISO 2. In fact, I owned multiple pairs. I was disappointed to see the Saucony wasn’t continuing that line, but rather moving on to a different support system with the Ride 13. I decided to try these and boy was I disappointed. The Ride ISO 2 was comfortable straight out of the box. The Ride 13s felt like running shoes with corrective orthodics inside them—stiff in the arch and on the outside of the foot. If that is what you prefer, then these are the shoe for you. But if you liked the Ride ISO 2, know that the Ride 13s are nothing like those. Saucony is just another shoe company changing things that aren’t broken—for what?
I have been a big fan of Saucony shoes for years but I fell out of love with the ISO series and tried models from other brands. I average 35-40 miles per week. I have not owned a pair of Saucony's in 4 years. An associate of mine encouraged me to try the Saucony Ride 13. I obliged. I am so glad that I did. These are sweet. Perfect fit. Excellent cushioning and they disappear on feet, honestly. They also feel much lighter when running. To say the least, I am impressed. So much so that I am going to buy another pair just to rotate. I have found my new favorite daily trainer. Thanks Saucony for delivering my new go-to-shoe!!!!
Welcome back!
I am neutral runner with high arches, my forefoot is wide. basically i have tried both Ride 13 and Triumph 18 in each case, i loved the midsole material, PoWWR+ is great...maybe layered on too thick, they are not flexible enough I Hate the uppers in each model, they don't breath well enough, triumph they are way too warm, there is just too much of the material. the worst part in term of fit was the stretchy material that holds down the tongue I HATE it, i would much rather just tie my laces and adjust the fit myself...as i like it. keep powwr+ midsole ....lose the stretchy tongue holder,...use engineered breathable mesh
Have about 30 miles on the Ride 13 already. Before these shoes I've been in the doctor, in therapy and not being able to get past 3 miles without pain. On my first run and every run since, I have yet to experience any pain at all!! These wheels make my feet feel like I'm relaxing on the couch with my feet in a warm epsom salt bath. Nothing but big smiles on my face. I can't wait to run every day in these! Looking forward to get my next pair as soon as possible....hoping to give the Endorphin Pros a test!
i have run in the Hurricane for years but wanted to make sure i had to right shoe. after explaining to the agent how I wear out my running shoes, she recommned that I should run in the Ride. It seems to have been a horrible suggestion and decision. My ankles have never ached so much. So now I have two pairs (i always buy two) of running shoes that I think are unusable. i'll keep trying but frustrated i switched based on the agent's suggestion. may need to try another brand now. If i wear out the outside of my heel, why is the Ride the correct one for me? The heel of the Ride is not level all the way around. Is that right? Feels wider than Hurricane and not as 'snug'.
I've been using Saucony Ride for years and have always liked them. Unfortunately this shoe isn't for me. Having read some of the negative reviews I thought they would be OK but for me there are two main factors as to why I won't use them. 1) The shoe feels narrower and as a result I've started to get a pain on the right side of my right foot due to the ball being too close to the edge of the shoe 2) The movement at the back of the shoe which feels a bit odd when running. They don't feel as stable to run in. The build of the shoe feels good but the fit is the thing that is the issue for me. Problem is now I can't go to a shop and find a new shoe that fits properly!
We're sorry this style did not work for you, but we appreciate your feedback.
I've been wearing out Saucony running shoes for the past 25 years...probably 30-40 pairs. The fit is always good for me, and in recent years they seem to be more resistant to wearing down on my strike points at the outside of the heel on each shoe. The cushioning is excellent, the fit always superb, and they are lightweight, dry fast, have durable laces, and look okay. On this latter point, perhaps a little more imagination re exterior appearance would shave a few seconds off my times, I'm sure. Saucony, can you/do you make a winter shoe that is the same weight, but not as porous at the front? My feet are always cold from the winter draft that seeps in here in souther Ontario, Canada.
The Ride 13 delivers a smooth ride, seamless transition, and responsiveness when I want to pick up the pace. The upper feels secure and stable, even on quick turns too. The shoes do get warm. I agree with another reviewer that the spongy, stretchy laces work really well in providing a locked-in feel, yet allowing a little give and not digging into my feet. And yes, if it wasn't for the Citron Mutant colorway, would not have picked up a pair either. Wish list for next year is to make the midsole (PWRRUN) a bit softer, a tad more room in the forefoot around small toes, and more breathable upper.
