The best wool socks, hands down. I've been wearing wool socks for years and have tried a number of different brands. Some others may be more comfortable, but none match the durability of these bad boys. They're not uncomfortable per se, they're just not as cushy and stretchy as some others out there. Is it worth sacrificing a little comfort for the durability? Absolutely. Not only do these socks far outlast all other pairs, but if you put a hold in them, they'll replace them. I am slowly replacing all of my socks with Darn Toughs since they are the superior sock. Couldn't recommend them more.
Excellent Product & Company
I recently purchased 4 qty. pairs of these socks and had originally ordered a medium for my size 9 shoe. Upon receiving these and wearing them, I noticed they were a little snug & restricting circulation. I contacted Darn Tough and they replaced for size Large even though I had worn these. Just had to pay for shipping there, which I totally understand. Darn Tough customer service was absolutely fantastic! It was such a pleasure dealing with them. I am now a customer for life and my new size large fits perfect. I am an avid high mileage walker, and these have been excellent at moisture wicking and have virtually no odor. The padding on the bottom is more than sufficient for many miles of fast-paced movement. Keeps my feet cool in hot weather and warm in cooler climates. I recommend if you purchase a pair and they are a little more snug than you’re used to, I would move up one size up as they should fit great. Wonderful product!!!
premium quality
This is one of the nicest athletic socks I’ve ever had. I love how lightweight, tight but not too tight, soft, and breathable these are. The cushioning is intuitive and only exactly where it is supposed to be. I like the 1/4 height for taller shoes like basketball shoes, or ankle protection when biking or trail running. I also like how simple the color/design is - black and white can easily be dressed up for business casual
Excellent, durable running socks
Excellent socks for running or being on your feet all day! Darn Tough socks are always comfortable and durable and these are no exception. They're nice for running especially because the material hugs my feet well and they don't bunch up or cause blisters. One point- not necessarily a pro or a con- is that they do wear a little warm for me. Great for colder weather, and workable for warmer weather.
Great running socks!
I've never had a pair of Darn Tough socks I didn't like and these are no exception. They keep my feet dry, blister-free and at the right temperature. Merino truly is the best material for long backcountry adventures. Also, Darn Tough stands by their product really well so if they wear out in a reasonable time, I'll be covered. I'm a 14 and the XL fits perfect.
Size Up
I’m so happy I purchased these socks. They’re super comfortable and durable. The only thing I’d recommend is going a size up. Spoke with some reps at DT and they confirmed it runs snug
Comfortable, fit well, good weight
So far, so good. These are very comfortable and a size M fits my 9.5 foot well. They’re thin but still substantial and feel like they’ll hold up well. These are replacing another wool brand that is ripping at the ankle after a few years, so I’m hopeful these are of the same quality as the many pairs of DT hikers that I own.
Quality Socks
I recently purchased two pairs of these socks along with two pairs of the cushioned socks of the same style. These socks breathe well and the quality seems to be right on par with all Darn Tough products. I've converted 75% of my sock drawer to Darn Tough and am shooting for going all in. Can't go wrong with this company.
fit too small
12/17/2024: Got my size (L) according to the size chart (US-M 12). However, it runs smaller or may be the fabric's compression causes a little small for my foot. Tossed it in washer and see how it will be.
Great comfy hiking socks
I got these socks for my partner as a gift, and they're great! He likes them a lot and uses them for running and hiking. Would repurchase these!
