Uncaged opinion

Tried many cages, and found tubular framed ones are best when things get dirty. Cages with wide sides trap mud and grit, and once you pull the bottle and return it, the grit starts grinding away your bottle and cage finish. It can also become hard to pull the bottles once the grinding effect begins. Minimal contact of a tube radius wipes mud away instead of grinding away both bottle and cage finish, and keeps the bottle tension more consistent. Stainless needs no paint or anodization, so it looks good even with the inevitable abrasion. Tried the cheaper stainless tube one for about $16. It works, but is not as stout, and doesn't look as good. This one's worth the extra 9 bucks.
