Good quality, cheap chain
Nice stuff, solid. Works well and index perfectly on 7 speed cassette with no problems.
Best chain, best price
This is pretty much the best 6/7/8 speed chain you can get. The PowerLink makes installation and removal a snap, once you have sized it correctly. And REI has the best price. What’s not to like?
SRAM Chains Are Available
Bicycle parts are in short supply. Nevertheless, REI has SRAM chains with the removeable link at a good price. They even had spare Smart Links, too.
good chain but there are differences
Its a good chain as far as miles compared to others on the market based on stretch but I would choose a chain that allows more gentle tooth access, meaning when the tooth enters the chain, to prevent the gears from being eaten some other chains provide more of a longer slant from link to link on the inner sides of link providing a easier entry into the slot were the 830 slant on the entry is shorter allowing more grinding on the teeth.

The price is right for the SRAM PC830 8-Speed Chain ($11), but there was some confusion selecting the right SRAM PowerLink connector because there's a spare batch of links that go with the chain (8, 9, and 10 speed) so look at the link for the right speed before installing. Hence, I was under the impression that all the spare links were 8 speed.

I needed a new chain for my 2x8 speed gravel bike and it did the trick

Good value for my 20 year old mountain bike. Shifts much better now.
