Well made glove that is legit

I will share some info on this glove since I was hesitant to pay so much myself and while shopping around I found that there really isn’t much out there for reviews. Here are my thoughts… They did a good job designing this glove and choosing materials. The leather is nice, the zippers are the water resistant type, and it has little things that add up, such as a little bit of elastic on the wrist adjuster and a red pull tab for the gauntlet cinch release. I wear large gloves and these fit as expected in a large. The batteries are slim and I haven’t noticed the weight or placement of them in use. The charge time is ridiculous. Plan on an overnight charge every time. Battery life is legit though. I have no fear that the battery will run out prematurely, which is good since there is no way to check the battery level. The gloves are controlled via a button that lights up to tell you they are on and what heat level they are set to. Performance wise they work. I couldn’t really tell much by trying them in the house or using them for short ventures outside shoveling snow. The effectiveness was very noticeable during all day activities such as the skiing. First off they are warm gloves by themselves. I think in most situations they would be just fine with the power off, but I use them as intended with the heat on. I always start at low heat. Although my hands never got cold wearing these, anytime I felt like I wanted a little bit more heat I just pressed the button and within five seconds I could feel the pleasure of additional heat. When I felt like I didn’t need so much warmth, I lowered the setting. That’s it really. Typical moments for me to increase heat are sudden changes in environmental conditions such as ridgetop wind, decreasing physical activity, or sometimes the dampness from sweating bringing on a chill. It is so awesome to press a button and immediately feel some extra heat. TLDR Well made glove with great battery life, long charge times, very warm even without turning on the heat, the effects of the heat settings not noticeable around the house or quick outings, but very noticeable on the ski hill. I love pushing that glowing button anytime I want and instantly feeling extra heat. No regrets at all. I’m outta here!

Switch failure

I purchased a pair of the Seirus Hellfire gloves in March 2021 at full price. They were great for about 70 ski days including the end of 2021, all 45 days of my 2022 season and the first 30 days of 2023. Now the right glove switch has failed. Not the batteries, but the mechanism in the glove. So a warranty for 1 year is worthless and keeping my hands warm without disposable hand warmers has cost an average of about $8 a day!

Do not buy

Do not buy these gloves. I used them for two seasons, and now the left glove doesn't turn on. I might have actually turned them on to keep my hands warm for 6 days in two years. That's some expensive heating. The warranty expired a year ago. REI and Seirus need to do better for $500 gloves.

I bought these December 2022 and they just now out of return window with REI. They worked good last season but I just charged the batteries first time this season and nothing. Bunch of nothing. For $475 I'd like to get more than one season. Save your $.
