Good all around jacket on the hill

Great jacket for 0-40° days as a shell. At 0, you’ll certainly want an under layer puffy or wool light-weight jacket) . At 40, you’ll be plenty warm with just this (and the vents open) and your general base layer short or long sleeved depending on how your temp runs. It has an removable but attached goggle wipe which truly appreciate. NorthFace is a brand Ive purchased less of over the years because of they have some lesser lines but their technical stuff really still performs very well and comes with all the extras because of the volume they produce. Surprisingly (to me), I tend to grab this jacket more often than my more-spendy FlyLow.

Great

The fits a little big but as expected. Overall has been great in the seattle rain. In addition went on a fishing trip and I was happy with it’s performance in the wind and rain.

Holes In Jacket

My wife bought this jacket for me for Christmas. We went snowboarding this weekend so wore it twice had my phone in the breast pocket. Went to take my phone out realized there was a hole that matched a perfect square of my phones camera. Needless to say I can’t believe I wore this Jacket for two days of boarding and saw a hole that was clearly a perfect imprint of the square from the back of my I phone.

Not bad not terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket has a crooked fit. Very narrow at the shoulders, but normal at the waist and chest area. I have other North Face XXL windbreakers and they don't have this problem, they fit great. No complaints about the materials and color. But note, if you have wide or big shoulders - this jacket is not for you.

Great all around ski jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fit and look. It's also very lightweight and versatile. I've worn it resort skiing in NH this season in ~30s, and I t's kept me dry and warm with just a base layer underneath. It's very warm with a mid layer. It's also waterproof without being too crunchy, so quite comfortable.

100% recommendable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket. The hood is perfect for a helmet and the zipper goes up enough to cover up to the chin and avoid wind getting the neck area. Feels durable and tough. Lots of pockets and nicely placed for use. I´m 6´2´´ and 180 lbs and a Large was perfect.

Perfect Shell for the Snow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect snow shell for layering with a not too slim or not too loose fit. Amazing shell that's highly waterproof and windproof, but also breathable. Additional features are great such as the snow skirt, helmet compatible hood, and locations of pockets.

Quality is there but the fit is off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality is there but the fit is off. I've owned multiple other North Face jackets and always fit great in an XL. No so on the Ceptor jacket. Fits more like an XXL. Also expected more insulation in it. It's basically a glorified rain jacket for snow.
