Best snowshoe to ever offer 35" Length
I am a large guy 6'5" 230lbs. I like hiking miles into the backcountry often breaking my own trial. I have a 30" pair of MSR Lighting ascents that are great for almost everything except for fresh deep snow. They make a 5" tail extension for the MSR but I cant be bothered fiddling with some extension. This is a fantastic go anywhere snowshoe and I would recommend it in any size for the right person. Will it be as durable as the MSR, only time will tell, but construction seems excellent. I do worry about the boa system failing deep in the backcountry so I will be carrying a boa replacement kit in my backpack as well as by usual voile straps, duct tape and paracord that always reside in my pack.
I love these snowshoes
I got these snowshoes a few year back, and I primarily used them for snowshoeing around NH white mountains on just about all terrain. I absolutely love them - their crampon provides great traction on hills and I never had to worry about what the trails looked like. 3-years later and they're still going strong! The boa locking system is phenomenal for cold conditions when I don't want to remove my gloves to tighten or loosen the shoes. I'm 5'11 and 170lbs, the 25's are perfect and not overly bulky. I use them with size 9-10 boots and never had an issue. My partner also borrowed them (she's 5'8 with W size 8 shoes and they worked for her). I struggled a bit to figure out how to pack them when they're not in use on the mountain, but you can get creative and find a way that works!
