A Wild Rose that smells like a Grape Magic Marker

I've bought from REI for years and I've bought other Helly Hanson base and mid layers and I've been happy with them up until my most recent purchase. The top arrived with an odor I can best describe as like one of those grape smelling magic markers. It was so strong that filled the room with its odor. I've tried every DIY technique to get it out and have been unable to do so. I even tried using a washing soda, which is not good for the wool. It was close out so I have to wonder if it was a returned item that was being recycled. Not sure where I'll go from here but but not begin a fan of grape magic markers, it's unwearable for me as it is. This top is a zero star, my earlier tops of the same model are five stars, which is why I'm giving this three stars.

Love this midweight baselayer!

This top fits great! I usually wear a medium since it’s supposed to be a bit snug as a baselayer, but this time I went with a large and I love the length of the sleeves and the body of the shirt! It feels a bit heavier than other midweight baselayers I have, but it’s nice and airy so it is probably fine. I haven’t had the chance to put it to the test yet, but I can’t wait to wear it!
