I think that BCA makes some of the best shovels in the game. Wide blades that pack down easily. Which allow me to take it in smaller packs. Recommended
This seems like a good lightweight shovel for medium duty snow removal. I ordered a Dozer T1 and D2 and prefer the D handle on the D2. The extended length is incorrectly listed in the product copy on the REI website. It says that the extended length is 23.5". That is the extended length of the shaft when it is off the shovel. The extended length with the shaft on the shovel is 29.5".
Bought shovel for Christmas. After checking it out we have realized this isn’t the shovel one wants if you’re in the back country. Doesn’t hold up against the BlackDiamond ones. Spend the extra $20 and get the BlackDiamonds. This doesn’t break down very small, isn’t real sturdy. Might work in a pinch but the handle looks like it will come off when you use it. A lot of money for not a reliable tool.
Tough little shovel, I love this shovel I ended up buying two I keep one in my camping pack and on in the trunk of my car.
