cheap zippers?

Sadly, the zipper slider did not survive the first time I used them. Not a ykk zipper. Really just protects the inner boot so skied with them anyway and really liked the fit, warmth, control. Considering trading them in, or replacing the zipper (with the pandemic, xc equipment is scarce). One expects more from Fischer.

Zippers ease up over time

Zippers were hard to get up and down at first, but eased up after 6 or 7 skis. The binding bar at the top/toe area freezes up with ice easily and is hard to shake out before putting the boot into the binding if you are in ungroomed wetter snow. Insulation doesn't quite reach the entire toe box. Laces were hard to get tight enough at first, would help if they were a different color than the rest of the boot to see where to make adjustments.

Better for other feet than mine

These boots look great, but I can't get them all of the way on. I have a high instep and slightly chunky ankles. I cannot zip the boot cover over the laces or around my ankle. As a result I have to return them.

Nice boot if it fits your foot - watch the zipper

Nice boot with good features for the price point but a bit a bit cumbersome to put on. Needed to be sure all lacing was opened up well before inserting foot. Lower lace eyelets are difficult to access due to outer liner. Got the left boot on and zipped up. Noticed a pressure point on the high side on my inside ankle which would not go away. The pressure point was present with both the stock footbed as well as a custom footbed which corrects for my pronation. I took the boot off, examined the liner and noticed the top lace eyelet is well stitched into the liner. The square stitch pattern (see photo) is slightly recessed into the inside of liner but I can see how the liner easily compresses and allows the stitched area to contact the ankle bone area. I next tried the right boot on and found I could not zip up beyond my lower instep. I tried so hard that the zipper actually separated. I was fortunate to be able to get my foot out of the boot and reset the zipper. Note that I have a normal foot instep and never had any issues with any type of boot (hiking, downhill). Unfortunately, my seemingly normal foot will not be a fit for this boot. It’s a nice boot if it works for your foot.

Comfortable boot

It's a comfortable boot I've skied 75 km days in them a couple times and no blisters (I have weird feet though) Never had problems with the zipper like others but my biggest gripes is the sole it does not shed snow like a typical classic boot and is not compatible with gaiters probably because of the integrated "gaiters" that work for really light snow. But overall they are my favorite nnn boots Ive used, nothing is perfect
